Great, great place to go to get the friendliest service and best Mexican food I ever had. I have been to Mexico 5x. I have eaten in many, many Mexican restaurants in America. La Poblanita wins the prize. But it's not only their wonderful food and staff. It's also the vibe. Eat outside in any weather under roof, but with all sides open and enjoy not just La Poblanita - but also SOUTH CAROLINA!! No "starched shirts" here! Prices - more than fair. My wife and I had tacos - the best ever. You go up to the order window and whatever you want - order it. The tacos come out hot with your choice of protein on it and then - go to town and load it at another couple of stations with whatever you. want. Make it spicy by choice or like me, add no sauce, neither spicey or mild. I added the best refried beans I have tasted and wonderful reddish rice. As a bonus I also threw some wonderful Cole slaw on my tacos. As Campbell Soup says - "m, m good! (Great) My wife when first ordering had tomatoes and lettuce put on her tacos plus melted cheese. On the weekends there is a giant and long smoker going, constantly cooking up great tasting chicken. You can order any pieces or portions you want. Yummy! You can also order any portion up to the whole chicken, to go. Can't beat this place for all it offers. Go there and taste for yourself....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreInviting colorful atmosphere in booths, tables or the bar. Extensive fresh menu selection of Mexican food / meats, fish/ from different regions. Fresh ingredients , always, from cilantro , to shrimp, the salads to the Ceviche ( my favorite). Home made beans, I can tell. The dishes are uncommonly large, my husband will not differ from the Carne Asada still after two years enjoying this. The salsa always fresh accompanied by warm tortillas. Soups or caldos are unique like the abuelas. The service is courteous , kind and bilingual. Itās a must in Bluffton for locals and visitors. Great ambiance on the weekend with their live musician, who repertoire expands from mariachi, bolero to Sinatra. The flan is incredible if you are into desserts. Prices are affordable. A well kept secret, their tequenos are oven baked and the melted cheese incredible. Their background music is most of the time enjoyable. This place becomes the special place to meet old friends, coworkers and celebrate special...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTook forever to get seated, waitress walked up and took us to the corner table. She threw the menus and walked off, they were debating who was going to serve us and as they discussed who was going to take us it took about 10 minutes. We wanted to sit in the back but noticed mainly Caucasian people in the back all the workers and some colored people got sat in the front. It was almost like I get discriminated against, I didnāt come to get free food. We asked about a fish and she seemed hesitant to give us the market price them when we said yeah she was trying to deter us from ordering as it would be a long wait time. The food finally arrived and the server brought everything out, the food was delicious but then she never came back. We had to wave her down and ask for boxes and the check. Servers want tips but arenāt attentive and with the service I was just appalled. Also we got charged 25.00 for ceviche that I ordered on the menu which stated it was 18.00 . She never came...
