La Mexicana — Restaurant in Hilton Head Island

La Mexicana or Made in Mexico restaurant was great. Our waitress was very kind and prompt with bringing us drinks, menus, chips, and our food. The chips were fantastic, probably some of the best freshly made chips I've had at a restaurant, they were thick and salty. The food portions are excellent! You definitely get what you pay for. Everything we got was fresh, delicious and authentic. It doesn't get much better than that. It's not the fanciest place but the tables and floor were clean and things seemed well kept. The food is good most of the time the food is serce hot and fast. What i dislike about this place is the bad conditions of the restroom they are poorly maintained, the cleanliness of the restaurant need improvement, also the waitress need to practice hand washing aleast once per hour. The attendants need training on customer service, like maintain eye contact with the customer instead of talking with the coworker about personal things. Really good food and a clean, comfortable restaurant. The staff were friendly and made sure everyone was taken care of. It did not seem like there were a lot of people working, but even with a small team, the service was surprisingly quick and organized. The food came out fresh, well-seasoned, and full of flavor.
