As several of the other lower reviews mention, service and attitude by some of the staff here was awful when we visited over the July 4th weekend.
On the positive side first, they have a great location, ample seating and a large and interesting selection of wines. The wine battles as they call them are a neat way to try some wines blind and stimulate conversation.
We stopped in around 4 PM, noting their sign that said "free wine tasting 3-5 PM". When entering, there was an older man at a stand up bar area entertaining about 3-4 guests who were trying wine. He didn't even acknowledge us entering the restaurant at first and finally was quite rude and dismissive with the "sit anywhere" reply. Felt as we were interrupting his day and were the inconvenience.
We sat a small table and the place was maybe half full but quickly got busier in the short time we were there. We started with one of the wine battles but as the place became busy, our server was gone for quite a long period of time. I had finished my wine and was looking to make another selection while my wife finished and couldn't locate our server. After sitting around for 20+ minutes, we got the check at the next opportunity and left.
Its a nice place that could be so good if they cared just a little about the paying customers and serving them with some sort...
Read moreI recently dined at Wine Time, a wine-focused restaurant, and we were thoroughly impressed by the entire experience. From the moment we walked in, the service was nothing short of exceptional. The staff, particular Mark, was beyond attentive, knowledgeable about the wine list, and made excellent recommendations based on our preferences. Importantly, he greeted us immediately upon opening the door, creating such a great welcoming feeling - especially with this being our first time.
The appetizers, particularly the meatball special, were outstanding… The meatballs were packed with flavor, with each bite better than the last! The charcuterie board was fresh, tasty & beautifully presented. We particularly loved their little extras on the board to accompany the cheese & meat. Both dishes had a unique twist, and it was clear that only the freshest ingredients were used.
And then, of course, the wine! Mark guided us through their rather extensive list, which included some hidden, organic gems! Our selection was impressive… a French Monplaisir red blend. So whether you're a wine connoisseur or just looking to enjoy a good glass, you won't be disappointed!
Overall, our impromptu visit turned into an unforgettable experience... Superb service, exceptional food, and exquisite...
Read moreMy partner and I just left this place, I was very excited to try it. We walked in and there was a man half slumped over, leaning on a table that looked like we just stepped foot into his living room with a “what are you doing here” look on his face. This man was probably in his 60s … he was wearing a plain grey shirt, drinking a coffee, I assume, with the white and blue disposable coffee cup sitting in front of him. This man looked like a patron and not an employee. He continued to look at us as we have just intruded his private property and I smiled and said “we’ve never been here before” the man eludes with “ we’re a wine bar.” Then another blank stare, followed by “ what questions do you have?” In a very convoluted, uninterested tone. He told us to flip through some pages of a packet of papers in front of us on a podium and that’s when we left. Very rude and unwelcoming feeling. I was not interested in staying any longer after being talk to like that. I have spent a good portion of my adulthood as a food and beverage server/bartender and even on my worst days I wouldn’t great someone new like that. Thanks, but no thanks. We will be having a cocktail at...
