I would have loved to have been a customer at this shop. I took a vacation to visit my brother in law and he had mentioned this shop. Little bit about myself, I am a 20 year veteran and had 15 years in law enforcement. Unfortunately I had to retire from LE early due to PTSD. I had a wonderful conversation with some patrons outside prior to going in. I went in and as I opened the door to the humidor, the employee told me that I could not take my service dog in the humidor with me. I advised them that she was a service animal and she is to accompany me everywhere I go. As I was looking at the selection a person whom I assume is the owner came and opened the door. He told me that I had to remove the dog from the humidor. I advised him he was violating ADA regulations and he told me I had to leave because of the dander from the dog. I then advised him that I have been to multiple establishments, many more high end than his and was never told my dog could not go in. I am sparing this place the embarrassment of having the ADA getting involved, but I think anyone considering going here should understand that he does not comply with ADA regulations, nor does he respect the need for a...
Read moreMy wife purchased me a gift certificate from Peaceful Henry's for Father's Day as she know I enjoy cigars and the establishment. For whatever reason I misplaced it / lost it but found it a few years later. Since there was no expiration date on it I assumed they would still accept it. Both the person at the counter and the manager on duty refused to allow me to redeem it. He said the owner wouldn't allow it. I have visited this place many times, brought friends there to have cigars and drinks. I cannot imagine why they would not allow me to use the gift certificate. The name on the gift certificate is " Peaceful Henry's " and the name on the business is Peaceful Henry's. Had they been bought out and change names then I would understand but since they continue to use Peaceful Henry's name, they should honor the Gift Certificate. I am very disappointed they would take this course of action as the gift certificate is a fraction of the money myself and my friends have spent there. Who runs a business with this type of...
Read moreMy experience wasn't the best. Hopefully if your are reading this, your experience will be better. Hopefully. My intent was to understand the availability and variations of cigars, to facilitate a cigar bar experience for our family reunion. The cashier I met with was oddly standoffish and condescending, in his response to my questions about various cigars, to give our guests the best options. However, the same cashier was extremely nice, pleasant, and outgoing to several customers, who appeared to be frequent customers. Lastly, a lot of the cigars felt hard, or stale; buyer be ware. In closing, I purchased (10) cigars, ranging from $10.95 to $21.95, per cigar. While that doesn't warrant a prize, I would like to think at MINIMUM, it would warrant a quality bag to carry the cigars. I was given a basic zip-lock bag and I was charged for two humidity packets for the bags. Overall - Good Selections, Bad Customer Care (unless you are a repeat customer), and Horrible Cigar Management and...
