Corey, Tanya & staff give you the “Welcome to the Neighborhood” mixed with your childhood best friends holiday get together with the widest red carpet!
Despite being 8 weeks booked out for tables, my wife & I took our chances landing a bar seat. But just before that dice roll we snuck in under the wire for Friday lunch the day prior. We loved lunch so much we came back the very next night.
Bar seating is first come, first serve. Jessica, managing partner, will ensure your place in line and seat you bar side with kid gloves. Once there you are the presence of bar lore. Cory, your conductor, bar guide & managing partner could teach John Taffer a few things…. His wife & hostess Tanya will agree.
Cory is a warm, funny and charismatic local (SC) whose stereotypical southern charm is not typical at all. He will put you at ease with recommendations, specials and individual convo the whole way through your stay. All 20 bar attendees simultaneously. The bar is his instrument and no flat notes anywhere. The service is unparalleled. And yes, I’m that guy who’s “been around the block”. UN-PARA-LLELED!!
Nashville chicken sandwich & steak tip salad lunch were ridiculous. Perfect…. Mixed drinks? On point. Beignets? Uh, light, crispy & if I looked quick enough I could convince myself that I was sitting at Cafe du Monde.
Saturday supper of filet mignon & NY Strip were stellar. Fantastic champagne mimosas, Four Seasons level coffee and butterscotch creme brûlée that would embarrass the French. Cory keeps it moving, keeps you relaxed and on your toes with charisma.
Selfishly I want to tell no one. But for these great restauranteurs, please come and tell all. You could possibly find a meal equal in your circles. Could…. But, I will guarantee you will not find anyone anywhere who embodies and personifies the love & passion for their customers satisfaction like Tanya &...
Read moreI was looking forward to this dinner all week with my girlfriend on a Saturday night, and a great way to spend time with her and relax after work. I wore my best suit and she wore her favorite dress. The staff was very friendly and welcoming and we had great service. However once the food came around I was very very let down. I won't complain about our appetizers but, all it did was make me less eager for my main course. Although they weren't bad, me and my girlfriend both thought they were very salty, almost overbearing. Once our food came around I was even more disappointed. I got the annie's pasta, and as someone who has dined all throughout Italy, and lived there for 5 years, I have very high expectations for pasta. This pasta was a complete letdown. I can't even describe any of the other flavors because well.... There wasn't any. The only thing I found flavorful was the overbearing spice sprinkled on the pasta. I felt even worse when my girlfriends steak arrived. She ordered her steak medium, and it came out barely even rare. Infact on the outside it looked completely dry, and when she cut it was raw. I touched it with my finger and it was barley warm. I could have warmed it better in the palm of my hand. She sent the steak back out of fear of eating raw meat, and it came back unevenly cooked. One side was more than well done and the other was rare. I was very disappointed in the food, and although the atmosphere and the time with my girlfriend was precious I would never recommend anyone eat here. And after all of that, we still coughed up the 125$ check. I tried to keep this review civil and PG, however I cannot express the disappointment, and anger me and my girlfriend...
