So me and my two boys came here because it was recommended to us. We are as impressed as anyone could possibly be. First of all, the restaurant is absolutely lovely inside and out. In fact, when we first pulled up, I wondered if my jeans and tshirt apparel would be acceptable. But of course, it was more than acceptable, and I matched everyone else inside. 2ndly, the host was super nice and thorough and had a very welcoming smile. 3rdly, our sweet waitress, Holly, what?!?!? She is unbelievable! Her smile, her knowledge, her patience, her kindness - all of it. She is top notch! (Quick note before I forget, I reeeeeaaaaalllly want one of these in TN.) Neeway, last but certainly a star in a broadway musical, the food. Holy cow! Drop the mic! This food is phenomenal. I had a BJs Brewhouse Bowl with Salmon - the base of the bowl is as follows (and yes, I had to copy this part from the menu cause it was amazing, and I want you to taste it as you read it): “Roasted barbacoa cauliflower I Peruvian quinoa + brown rice | black beans I corn + fire-roasted red pepper succotash I cucumbers I pickled red onions I pico de gallo I feta cheese I housemade guacamole I greek yogurt crema l cilantro“. You can also get it with chicken or shrimp or tri-tip. “A” to the “Mazing!”My eldest ordered the Pepperoni Extreme deep dish pizza - he was blown away. I could tell by the look on his face. And while it is certainly not the deep dish of Chicago in terms of layers upon layers, the taste, according to him, more than made up for it. Finally, my youngest ordered a thin crust pepperoni and cheese pizza. Huge and delicious. It did not disappoint. And to top it off, I got to join in a trivia game on my phone while we waited. You can play with others in the restaurant or anyone in a restaurant where this particular system is in place. All that said, we WILL most definitely be back. This one is at the top of my list for sure. (Oh gosh! I forgot the fried Mac n cheese couscous balls! Can’t forget that ridiculously...
Read moreTerrible experience. I asked if there was any rare prime rib 10 minutes before we even ordered. The waitress asked the kitchen and assured me that there was, so that is what I ordered. When the dinners came the other 11 people I was with received their meals but I did not. I sat and waited patiently and when the waitress came back and asked if we needed anything else I told her my meal never came. She said she would go check on it. By this time most of the group was half done with their meals after golfing 36 holes we were famished. My prime rib was brought out and it was shoe leather brown. Not even a hint of pink anywhere to be found. I kindly told the waitress I wasn’t at all interested and since most of the group was done mostly done eating I would just go to the Arby’s I saw driving in. When the checks came there were 2 people that had food on their checks that they never received. One was a side order of fries, and the other was a soup. The 2 guys pointed out that those items never came but it was no big deal, just to take it off the check. The waitress went to ask but came back and told us the Manager said that there was no way to take it off their bills so 2 of the guys paid for food they never got. I’ve never heard of such a thing. The whole group was so disgusted at that point by other things that occurred that I won’t mention because this I is already really long. To make a long story short - Avoid this place like the plague. It’s no wonder all the other places we called in Boardman had over an hour wait for a party of 12 and BJs was able to seat us immediately. We learned why...
Read moreI visited here on recommendation from a friend, later in the evening. Not sure if the time had a bearing on the experience, but the food and service were the worst I’ve experienced anywhere. I let the waitress know this was our first visit, and we didn’t live in the area. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger, and boyfriend ordered the Philly cheesesteak, “without peppers.” When we got our food, fries were lukewarm at best, and the cheesesteak arrived with bell peppers. When I picked up my cheeseburger it dripped grease for 10+ seconds. The bacon was off as well - meat portion was crispy but the fat wasn’t rendered at all (chewy and off-putting). I was left to eat my food while the cheesesteak got redone. Waitress came back to ask “you didn’t want bell pepper?” No, boyfriend said “no peppers.” Not sure if that was the waitress’s mistake or the chef’s. By the time the cheesesteak came back, I’d had enough time to completely finish my food, though I can’t say I enjoyed it. Boyfriend’s fries were now stone cold. It was obvious the fries had been left sitting on the tray while the cheesesteak was remade. The cheesesteak was hot, but dripped grease like my cheeseburger had earlier. Totally unappetizing. By now it was late enough that we didn’t want to wait for fresh fries, just to finish and leave. I would’ve expected that boyfriend’s fries would be remade when his cheesesteak was remade. The waitress didn’t apologize or offer anything to improve the experience. I didn’t need a free meal, but a sincere apology and maybe an offer of a free dessert would’ve gone a long way toward making a bad experience better. I’ll...
