Firehouse Subs 5th Ave Shoppes — Restaurant in Boca Raton

I had previously left a 5 star review for this place a year or two ago. So, it pains me to have to do a a complete 180 on my review. My last 2 orders where messed up and the last order I ordered 2 large clubs one with double meat. Not only did I NOT get double meat which I paid an extra $5 bucks for but both subs had ZERO bacon, which is a key component to a club. Plus the bread was on the stale side and the subs were all pieced together from scraps of other loafs. They must have been low on bread that day and just used whatever they could scrounge up. Firehouse used to be my go to sub place pre covid but this location has drastically gone down hill since covid. I was happy to start eating out more but if covid has taught me anything, It's I can make a damn good sub at home and its pretty easy. So...

$22 for a footlong sandwich, chips and drink that takes 30 minutes to make. I sat around with a few other customers and we all were looking at each other like what is going on with this store. I got a steak n cheese and the worker handing me something with chipotle and lettuce on it "yeahhh thats a steak n cheese!!"- uhhh 15 min later the meats cold on my NEW sandwich.

Firehouse Subs is cooked!!!! This place going downhill with a slow bleed. Abandon ship!! I won't be coming back to this store. Save yourself from wasting time, money and your lunchbox from having a below average meal!!!for $20-30 - we talking steak n cheese - NOT...

Some have complained of long waits. I always order online and its ready when I get there. I stopped ordering from publix deli subs because they always failed to make the subs or have them ready when they said. So I started ordering from Firehouse. I will say I typically order for dinner not lunch so they may get backed up at lunch but I wouldnt know. They always have my subs ready on the shelf for pick up on time unlike Publix. Firehouse has better tasting subs too. Most of the subs are steamed/hot so they take a little longer, do yourself a favor order online before you go and skip the line. Thank you Firehouse...
