Señor Burrito Boca Raton — Restaurant in Boca Raton

Their Delray location used to be my favorite Mexican place so when we had the chance to be in Boca choose this for dinner. Ordered my favorite steak salad. The steak was so tough it was barely edible. My dining partner ordered the ground beef burrito. He said it tastes like mole. The most disconterting thing was the music. In the kitchen the staff was enjoying wonderful Mexican music at top volume levels. The diners were treated to seventies Sirius radio. Nothing quite like a duet of Sailing and LaBamba. I was taken back to my teenage years of competing music at loud levels in a small house with too many teenagers. We asked if they could turn off or down one of the music's. They said yes but it didn't happen. After dinner I asked again and was told they couldn't turn off seventies and the kitchen wouldn't agree to turn theirs off or down. Wow. Small place. Dark as a cavern. What a ln uncomfortable experience. So many other Mexican places in South Florida to go to next time and some without the...

This place is way past its prime. I used to come here a few times a week back in the day. Though the menu is the same, so, is the atmosphere.... I mean original everything from 20 years ago. It feels really dirty. Needs to be completely updated.

They also recently added a 5% credit card surcharge and added fees for an extra scoop of sauce on a burrito and a small cup (2 tablespoons) of extra salad dressing.

But the worst thing on our last visit was that the salsa they served us was obviously previously frozen. You can tell because it was kind of mushy. Who does that? They certainly never did that here before.

I'm afraid my days visiting here...

Wonderful atmosphere, service, and food! The lady working 3/2/24 was lovely. I’m visiting from out of state and had dinner at several ‘nice’ (pricey) restaurants in town this week with friends and out of all the places I went, the meal I got at senor burrito was by far my favorite. Amazing food! It was the first place I went all week where I didn’t have to ask for a to-go box because I didn’t have any leftovers - it was so good I finished everything! My husband chose this spot for lunch because he remembered going here all the time when he was in college and it was cool to see nothing has changed....
