Super unimpressed with the location on Broadway. The last time my husband and I went, we went pretty late and so the service was not very good and the food was old but I gave them the benefit of the doubt because it was right before close so thatâs on us. Then we visit again today around 4 pm and get in line. No one greeted us or asked us what we wanted (there was NO ONE in the restaurant) besides two workers who looked like they were clocked out and one girl working on food. So again, giving the benefit of the doubt. After about five minutes and another person joining in the line she finally acknowledged us saying, âJust one moment.â There was no rush and honestly she was moving like a sloth. It was almost comical. đ The guy behind us LEFT (thatâs how long we were waiting) and then she started finally making our foodâŚBUT THEN SHE STARTS WORKING ON DOOR DASH/TO GO ORDERS IN THE MIDDLE OF OUR ORDER. I seriously was so annoyed by the end of this unnecessarily long order that I will never come back to this location until they figure out how to have some customer service or common sense. She couldâve taken our order and had the to go orders done in the amount of time she took dinking around with everything. Shoot, weâll just go to costa vida. đâđ˝
Also, itâd be great to stir your food every once in a while so it doesnât look like itâs been sitting for hours. OH! And your new special taco with the dipping sauce? Take it off your menu because you didnât have it a month ago or...
   Read moreVery nice that this place is open past 8pm we needed a place to eat before attending a concert downtown at the knitting factory and weâre successful! The restaurant itself wasnât super clean there was clutter here and there and there werenât a lot of customers at the time which was nice, we didnât have to wait. The SERVICE though on the other hand was sublime. The young man who took our order was extremely kind, patient and helpful. His name is IAN and if I was able to leave feedback to management I would definitely recommend promoting this employee so he sticks around!
Customer Service like this is what keeps restaurants competitive and in business. The other employee was nice too that checked us out and took our payment.
We ordered a pork burrito which was very good (I consumed it in its entirety, and my partner ordered a quesadilla. The fountain drink area is nice and offered Italian soda flavors which is unique.

My wife and I waited in line for 30 minutes when no one else was in the store, while the employees only focused on doing online orders and messing around the entire time. It wasnât until after 30 minutes of waiting when other customers started walking in. As the line piled up, the employees only then turned their attention to people in line. However, only one employee focused on helping customers in the store and one correctly made more tortillas since they were running low, but there were still more employees focused on online orders. Horrible customer service! Do not come here due to the online order culture.
Update: Management came up to us on their own initiative and gave us our meals for free and free drinks as an apology. Great work resolving the issue Cafe Rio! Impressed with this positive change in customer service that has been sorely lacking the...
