Read moreBeing a big Boise State fan from when I went to my first game in 1998, I was really disappointed in the staff. The stadium as it stands is really great with a great atmosphere. My nephew, who was deploying within a few weeks to, well somewhere, really wanted to see the Blue for the first time in his life. He grew up as a Boise state fan but had to move to Colorado when he was 10 years old and stayed a fan all through his life, but never had the chance to see the turf in person. I myself a veteran, contacted the staff and explained the situation of his deployment. All he wanted to do was walk on the Blue for a few minutes and see it, but they would not budge on price and wanted to charge over $200 for 30 minutes on the Blue. To me, this is not the "Blue Collar" way that we all know and love, especially with a deploying soldier. When Boise State came to LA Tech before I deployed to Iraq, I got to meet Coach Pete and Brent Pease and they both gave me a open offer to come visit the stadium and locker room when I wanted (with notice) but AT NO COST . Will this review change anything? probably not, its becoming more and more about money and not about how the fans are most important, like a life long fan getting ready to deploy but cant afford $200 to walk on a field. Soldiers do not make that much money and cannot afford $200 for 30 minutes on a field. Take that into...
Read moreThis stadium is fantastic for Broncos football games and concerts. Recently the Luke Combs concert was fantastic. The stage and seating was great! However, the process of getting into the concert was aggravating to say the least. The lines into the the statium sections where extremely long and slow. The security process through the metal detectors were basically worthless. Luckily most everyone was in a good mood. BTW, Thank you concert goers!! I really appreciated that!! Why this is a different process than the football games? Was a different security/help staff used for the concert? Does Albertson's stadium actually have a totally different prices for concerts and football games? I seriously hope that Albertson's has a better system in place for a concert next time. I still recommend seeing a concert at Albertson's stadium and of course Go Bronco's!!! But go as early as you can for the concerts just in case Albertson's has not changed...
