The Protein Spot — Restaurant in Boise

This was my first experience at this place that was recommended to help reach my goals with meal prep and stuff like that. I placed an order for about 11 items. I only received four and the receipt that was on my online pick up bag did not reflect what was inside the bag.

I was in communication with one of their employees there about a few protein balls that they were out of and we got those switched out, which was great! But when I got home, I realize that the five big Mac bowls, and the four taco bowls that I originally ordered for pick up, I only received two big Mac bowls, the two protein Balls and only two of the breakfast bowls.

I’m a little bit confused because the communication was not there, at all! I really would love to give this place a second chance, but now I’m on the fence because of customer service was not there. You don’t feel welcomed when you walk in the door, no one speaks to you. if communication was up to par, and they were very diligent with double checking to make sure all of your items are inside the bag, and if there is something that they are out of that they would be in quick communication with the customers it would be such a frat experience.

First time I went in I stood in line to order a smoothy but the gal told me to go to the cash register and order there. Went in today to order got a smoothy and protein balls and stood at the end of the counter to get the smoothy. Only one person was working a manager or owner was sitting at one of the counters, and took about 15 min to get the smoothy because the guy that took my order just walked away and didn’t tell the poor girl that was helping 3 other people my order or made the smoothy. I then had to wait for all 3 other people to order then had to ask the girl for the smoothy again. Mangers didn’t jump in to help. I work in the fitness industry and basically live and breathe this lifestyle, so The Protein Spot is perfect for me. My boyfriend and I are here pretty much every week. The food is always solid—especially the hot bar—and I’ve had their meal prep delivered before, which was just as good.

The staff and owners are super friendly and always make you feel welcome. I’m also obsessed with the protein balls and snacks to go. Prices are fair, especially if you’re already budgeting for food or meal prep. Can’t recommend it enough!
