I used to go here all the time years and years ago. I always had a great experience and have fond memories of the environment, the food and the friendliness of the staff.
I went twice in recent weeks and interacted with three separate staff.
On the first visit, I was up-charged for a drink I did not ask for. I specifically said that I did not want a drink. When rug up, the cashier still charged me for the drink ($3). I noticed this moments after the transaction ended and when I brought this to her attention, the cashier said, āYou got a drink.ā I said, āNo I did not.ā and asked for a refund. The cashier exuded a vibe that I took to mean I was inconveniencing her for asking for a refund. On that day, the chips were truly so stale that they were CHEWY and got stuck to my molars. The Sun Sauce was delicious though.
On the second visit, customers 1 and 2 ordered food. They were not rung up. Customers 3-6 (one group) ordered food while customers 1 and 2 stood at the register for 13 minutes waiting to pay for their food. (They looked grumpy.) While finishing with customer 6, the staff apologized for the wait. I said it was fine because it was. I wasnāt bothered by the number of people in line to be served. Customers 1-6 were then rung up. My food was prepared and I was handed my food. Without a word, the staff then walked away to start making food for customers 8 and 9 instead of ringing me up. Knowing I was about to stand there for an estimated 7 minutes, I put $10 on the counter (Lizard Sauce is $7) and walked out the door. The order of operations was atrocious. The service was okay. The food was amazing.
So, if you have a lot of time to kill and the guts to ask for chips that are not stale when your chips stick to your teeth, go to Parrilla! Honestly, Iāll likely go back, but only if I have an extra 10-20 minutes to waste standing in like letting my food get cold while I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am updating this review based on recent events after my experience. The general manager reached out to me and has gone above and beyond to acknowledge and correct the issues. I will give Parrilla another try and am hoping to return to being a frequent diner.
Iām a frequent customer and sadly tonight I will no longer return.
I have opened and managed quick service restaurants so I understand the nature of the business with lack of staffing, etc. I ordered a steak burrito and steak nachos to-go. There were only two people serving.
We waited for over 1/2 hour for our food and saw that costumers behind us were served.
I had to ask the cashier for our food and the nachos came out burnt. There was no acknowledgment, apology for the long wait or offer for compensation.
No side of chips were given with the burrito.
When I got home, I saw that there was no steak on my nachos, but was charged for it!
All together my experience increasingly got worse. Our family are frequent patrons though after this event, we will no longer dine with Parilla.
I tried calling both store location phone numbers. When answered it goes to a message for entering a phone number and pin. As a restaurant owner, I, at minimum, would have had more prep made for a busy Saturday evening and at least an assistant manager on the floor. The service received is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWorst customer service I have experienced from Bartenders in a long time. We came in around 5pm - it was slow and there were two bartenders on staff - a guy and a girl. The girl seemed really put-out, and preoccupied with the guy bartend, and would only serve people who would come up the the register right in front of her. The guy bartend just collect tips off the bar and never looked up, and only talked to the girl. The whole time we were there they only chatting and flirted with each other, neither said anything to us, nor did they look our way or at the other people who had beers empty and money out. The bar top was also filthy and so were some tables, covered with empty glasses and coasters - youād think they just had a huge rush - but it became obvious they just didnāt move to do their job or cared to do so. We waited and waited sitting at the bar staring at them to get acknowledged or served, and so did the other guys sitting next to us - we asked them what the deal was - and they explained they were also frustrated. We finally got up and went across the street to the pizza place and had great service. Itās a bummer to have such unprofessional and low quality bartenders, especially at...
