I actually love Babas chicken. I was excited when my husband agreed we’d order from Babas and have Grub Hub deliver. It’s Jan. 30, around 3:00, and the winter storm is just beginning. When the food came, we counted that there were the right amount of items and the driver left. But when we got inside, we discovered that instead of the 4 piece dark chicken dinner I ordered, we got two orders of gyros, which is what my husband ordered. The meal I was so excited to be getting was not there. My husband immediately called the Grub Hub driver, who told him we had to call the restaurant. We called the restaurant and were told that they could not have the Grub Hub driver bring the missing chicken dinner because “it’s an app.”, and so we could come pick up the dinner. I told them that we do not want to come get the dinner, that instead, I wanted a full refund, which they did not agree to and I hung up. They called back and simply said “$8.99”, to which I said “what?”. She said, “You said you wanted a refund, and the chicken dinner is $8.99.” I then said “I asked for a full refund.” She(the manager) said “If you bring the food back, you can have a full refund”. I said, “I am not bringing the food back!” and again hung up. We will never order from Baba’s again. My husband also called Grub Hub and told them we will never...
Read moreDidn't have a great experience. Ordered 3 orders of tacos and it took almost 30 mins for our food to come out. It wasn't busy, only a handful of customers at most.
The tacos themselves were really bland, I don't think they use any seasoning, opting instead to offer cheap hot sauce and taco sauce if you need a little more flavor. The fries tasted really old, like they had been cooked hours earlier and were reheated just before serving them to us.
The milkshakes we ordered were good though.
They also had music playing with a TV showing quite inappropriate music videos of scantily clad women dancing around. Not exactly family friendly, especially for a halaal establishment that's likely to attract Muslim customers.
They also served the food to us in To-Go boxes, apparently they don't have plates or at least baskets. It just came across as really low-effort. They also didn't even have water cups, you have to pay for a water bottle if you just want water instead of a soda or something.
They have quite a large menu but it seems they've chosen quantity over quality. I very much doubt I'll be...
Read moreI hate giving this place such a low review. They genuinely have amazing food, I love their fried chicken sandwich and patty melt! But this time, (07/23/20) when I went in for pickup instead of delivery, at least one of the workers wasn't wearing a mask at all! I can't speak for the kitchen workers, but I'm not hopeful. While I was waiting for my food, a customer came in for pick-up apologizing for lack of mask, and the cashier employee said, and I quote "don't worry, we don't require them here." I felt sort of stuck with my order, as I'd already hyped this place up to my family I was eating with, and given them my money.
However, at least until the pandemic is over, or management enforces proper food safety, I do not feel comfortable ordering food here and am warning all of my friends I recommended this restaurant to against eating here. It's really a shame though, because the...
