Very disappointed with my first visit to this place as Cancun"s in Tallahassee is a great place to eat and visit. To start with, it was practically empty at 6:30 on a Saturday evening, that should have told me something. The staff was just wandering around, and after being placed at a table, if I was called Amigo once, I was called it dozens of times. The menu was impressive, expensive, but impressive and I asked for the standard Quesadilla with shredded chicken. I always order that the first time anywhere, as if you can't get that right, there isn't much chance of getting anything else right. Well ... they didn't get anything right but the sweet tea. To start with, the chips are so thin with the salsa that they will break trying to eat them after dipping. Unbelievable. Then I found out, that even though Rice & Beans are shown on the menu with the meal, it gets served without them. Upon getting Amigo Man's attention and asking did he forget them, he told me they were extra and did I still want them, I answered yes. BUT he didn't tell me that EACH be an additional $3.50 added to cost of the meal. I told him that he "got me" that time with the added cost, and that he would never get me again. He also didn't inform me that this was probably the most dehydrated serving of Rice and Beans that ever came out of a kitchen. Apparently, due to the fact of No Customers, I may have received items prepared for Lunch that never had water mixed back into them to keep hydrated. Disgusting! The entire meal was a waste of my time and at least I now know where I won't be going back to, I should have went on to Javier's Mexican Grill in Chipley where the Food is always good. At least they had plenty...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe went here tonight to eat hoping to have a great meal but it was far from it. Our server to start was rude and rushed us wanting us to order even though we asked for a minute. Once we was ready about 3 minutes later he was nowhere to be found we waited about 10 minutes to see if he was going to come back and he didnāt so we asked another server if we could order and he said yeah let me get your server then thatās when he came back. I ordered a sprite and he didnāt mention to me itās not sprite itās Sierra Mist so I asked to change to Dr. Pepper and it seemed to be a problem then wouldnāt give me another straw after he took mine with the first cup. We got our food just to realized my medium steak was RAW and the shrimp I ordered came after my family was done eating. Neither the steak or shrimp was seasoned. We also had ordered a chicken chimichanga and was charged $4 MORE (didnāt find out till checking out) for grilled chicken when I specifically asked for shredded. I told the cashier I asked for shredded so why was I being charged for grilled? And she shrugged her shoulders. Very disappointing. Our server never checked on us we had to ask another server for a box so we could bring my raw steak home to cook more. Very poor service and food, I love Chipley Cancunās, Iāve been here once before and had problems then as well but I wanted to give them another shot to become a regular customer but I will never return! I highly recommend skipping here and going the extra few minutes to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUpdate I recently discussed this visit with the Cancun Restaurant in Chipley and I was told by the man in there that he would talk to his uncle at the Bonifay Restaurant for me. Sadly this never happened so I will not be returning to either of these restaurants in the future. Me and a friend went here today for lunch, I ordered the taco salad it came with a heap of cheese on top of it. I asked the waiter Pepe 2 if it was goat cheese and he said yes, then I told him to take it back and he said to taste it. I tasted it, he then started laughing at me and he said it was homemade parmesan cheese. I told him it did not taste good and I did not want it. He then laughed again and asked me if I wanted something else. So I then ordered a beef taco with beans and rice. He asked what kind of beef I wanted and I said ground beef. He then brought me back my second meal. I started eating the beans and rice and he asked if I had tried the taco. When I opened the taco it had chicken meat in it!! At this time, I was not sure if he was doing this on purpose or what he was trying to accomplish. Needless to say, I showed him the chicken in the taco and he then brought me a beef taco. When I went to pay, I noticed on my receipt I was charged for the chicken taco. My receipt also stated there were 3 guests when there was only two of us! Not sure if he is covering up for three plates of food. But I paid for the chicken taco meal with his so called tip money. Most likely I will not be...
