I still dream about the first time I entered Dough Daddyz, you’re greeted not just with the warm aroma of fresh dough and simmering tomato sauce, but with an ambiance that blends cozy familiarity and elevated charm. This isn’t your average pizza joint — Dough Daddyz delivers an experience that honors tradition while presenting it with polish and soul.
I ordered the classic cheese pizza, and while it may seem like a modest choice, Dough Daddyz turns this simple staple into a masterclass of balance and flavor.
The crust is the true star — hand-tossed, golden brown, with just the right combination of crisp and chew. It provides a sturdy base without overwhelming the toppings, creating a texture that satisfies with every bite. It crackles just slightly when you fold it, a mark of expertly executed dough that’s been proofed and baked with care.
Their house-made tomato sauce bursts with freshness. It leans into the natural sweetness of vine-ripened tomatoes, with hints of garlic, fresh basil, and oregano. The sauce-to-cheese ratio is spot on — never soggy, never overly rich.
The cheese is a blanket of silky, stretchy mozzarella. Lightly browned in places, it gives each bite a slight caramelized edge while retaining that satisfying gooey pull. This wasn’t just pizza — this was pizza done right, where craft meets comfort.
For dessert, I had a hand-sized bowl of gelato, and it was a revelation.
Unlike many overly sweet or icy counterparts, Dough Daddyz’s gelato is luxuriously smooth, dense, and packed with flavor. It melts on the tongue slowly, allowing each note to blossom fully.
Whether it was a classic vanilla, rich chocolate, or a fruit-forward flavor like strawberry or lemon, the gelato demonstrated a mastery of restraint — not too sugary, but bold and vibrant in its profile. The portion was perfect: just enough to satisfy without overwhelming, served at the ideal temperature to preserve texture while still being scoopable and creamy.
The staff at Dough Daddyz reflects the restaurant’s mission: friendly, attentive, and passionate. They treat every guest like a regular, even if it’s your first time. Water glasses are filled without asking, questions are answered with a smile, and the timing between courses is thoughtfully spaced.
The setting is both casual and refined — a place where families gather, dates linger, and food lovers feel at home. Warm wood tones, dim lighting, and subtle nods to Italian décor give it a welcoming, timeless charm.
Dough Daddyz Italian Restaurant is not just a place to eat — it’s a place to experience. The cheese pizza and gelato I had were more than just food; they were expressions of craftsmanship, heritage, and heart.
Whether you’re a seasoned foodie or just craving something comforting and familiar, Dough Daddyz proves that simplicity, when done with care and precision, can be extraordinary.
Highly recommended. A new staple in the local...
Read moreWent with a good friend for dinner, last night. Was warmly greeted at the bar by Henry and Nate. Ordered a slightly dirty martini with blue cheese olives. 🍸It was just how I hoped. Chris, the GM overheard my disappointment when I heard they didn’t have Tabasco sauce (they have Chulula). Chris personally ran to the closest grocery store and brought me back a bottle! 🤯🙏🏽🙌🏽 We Ordered the burrata salad with arugula, pine nuts, fresh basil, balsamic drizzle and macerated strawberries. 👍 Basciola Pizza: sausage, pancetta, mushroom, onion. Thin bubbly crust, held its shape very well. Flavors and toppings well balanced and evenly distributed. 👍 Shrimp Fettucini Alfredo was so good. Tasted like it was all top tier quality ingredients. There was nothing left on the plate but empty shrimp tail shells. Finished off with the tartufo gelato and a cappuccino. Perfect combo to end a perfect dining experience. Extra dish mention from the other night; Orrechiette Barese was delicious, generous, and hit the spot. Will...
Read moreOur second visit there. First visit, we were totally impressed with the chicken parm and veal parm. This visit we went out in the limb and ordered the Tuna capricciosa… wow, such a fresh taste, white Lemmon butter sauce, sun dried tomato’s, olives, mushrooms and artichokes. Wines price fair, no bottles over $100, most glasses were $11-$17, crown royal with club $9.50. Don’t forget the awesome cannoli’s for dessert. We also tried the mussels, they have a red or white sauce option. We ordered white, they delivered red, immediately fixed the error…(still kinda in sift opening phase. This place is definitely on our weekly rotation. Thanks Henry and Nate for awesome drinks. And Chris, co-owner for making us feel welcomed. To prove this was an unsolicited review, a reminder they charge 4% for cc charges, a new Naples standard, and are closed on Mondays as of now. Bring new, they are still working out a happy hour option....
