I am normally a big fan of Jersey Mike's and I almost always order the 17 Philly and when I came in on Monday the guy that was taking orders and working the meats was great with the customers but took a while to get to me to ask what I wanted to order. When I told him I wanted a 17 with very little seasoning he relayed that to the grill guy who I could hear moaning and he said, well I won't put any on then. Then he took a long time with my order. I think on purpose. Then today I went in at 11:30am. I was third in line. It seemed to take a long time to ask the people in front of me so I had said out loud just a heads up I would like a 17 so they would know that I was getting a hot sub. The same guy was working the grill and he turned and gave me a dirty look. It was another 5 minutes before I was acknowledged and the same guy that was working the meats and taking orders on Monday was on that station today. He said so you would like a 17? I said yes but add the southwestern sauce and I'll give that a try. That same bald headed old guy with the glasses turned again and gave me another dirty look. It took 15 minutes to get my order and it was less than half the ingredients that is normally in a regular 17 sub and I didn't notice right away because he had put me behind schedule and I was driving and letting it cool off. Read moreI was leaving work and looked at my phone to see an ad for Jersey Mike’s. It was a long day and I thought why not support a local business during this time of COVID, also pick up my dinner as well.
I placed my order using the mobile app and received a confirmation email that my order would be ready in 15 minutes and I could (skip the line) This would be nice since I had a long day.
I arrived at the store in 20 minutes, an extra 5 minutes to get my order ready. I looked at the table for my order, it wasn’t there.
I waited in line behind another customer. When it was my turn, I asked about my mobile order. The employee I spoke to, then said something to another employee at the grill. When I asked about my order again it had net even been started.
If I had wanted to wait for my order to be prepared I would have just ordered at the store and not used the app. Which was the point of not having to wait.
When I requested a refund, which should not have been a problem since they had not started my order yet. The employee working at the grill grabbed my order ticket from in front of him and crumpled it up and threw it away in an upset way. Like he was mad that I asked to have my money refunded that I had already paid, and didn’t want to wait longer.
