It was a wonderful surprise to discover such a good sushi restaurant so close to home. The place is fairly new, not very large, but it feels cozy, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed. The vibe is modern yet warm, with clean lines, subtle lighting, and tasteful decoration. One detail I found charming is that they display Japanese characters from popular TV shows and anime throughout the restaurant, which adds personality without feeling overdone. The walls and shelves showcase these figures in a way that makes the space feel lively and fun, while still keeping it elegant.

The food itself was excellent. Every dish I tried was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The sushi rolls were carefully prepared, and the presentation made the meal feel special. Each table had a natural flower in a small vase, which elevated the overall dining experience with a simple but classy touch.

Service was another highlight. The staff were professional, friendly, and attentive without being intrusive. They even surprised me with a complimentary ice cream, which they were photographing for their website that day. It felt thoughtful and generous, and it left a lasting impression.

Just tried Pop Onigiri in Bonita Springs (they just opened!) and wow — we’re blown away. Everything we ordered was insanely delicious. We had a couple of onigiri rolls to start (so fresh and flavorful), my husband had the spicy beef ramen (he didn’t speak for 10 minutes because he was in a food trance), and the Korean wings? Hands down, the BEST wings I’ve ever had. Perfectly crispy, sticky, and packed with flavor. Even the fruit they used as garnish was so fresh and good!!!

And to top it all off — as I’m sitting here writing this, they brought me a complimentary strawberry mochi. Are you kidding me?!? The vibe is great, the food is even better, and the service is next level. The freaking chopsticks come out in little wooden boxes 😭 If you’re anywhere near Bonita Springs, you need to eat here before...

Could be the most authentic Japanese restaurant in SW FL. I was very impressed with not only the presentation of the food, but also the standards of the chef, who recommended that I modify my order to improve the pairing. I can't wait to try the sushi and ramen.

My order: Fried Chicken Onigiri — 8/10. The chicken was slightly stringy, but never a point away from the real review! Have a napkin ready.

Chicken Curry Rice — 9/10. I ordered with fried rice, but it was better with white rice per the chef's recommendation. They brought out a bowl of white rice for me without my asking! I don't think they'll let you order it the way I did in the future, and I give all my respect to the chef for that.
