Arby's — Restaurant in Bonner Springs

I went to Arby's for the first time in years because a roast beef sandwich sounded really good today. I haven't been to one as a local chain in years because my experiences have been so lousy - and Arby's is too expensive to have a lousy experience. But I thought today, I would give it a chance. I ordered a Double Roast Beef meal with an iced tea. The girl at the register and the window was very nice, but my meal was disgusting. I ended up just parking in the parking lot to eat it because I wanted it to be fresh, but the sandwich was already cold. I mean, cold. I pulled it out of the bag and the foil was cool to the touch. And it is 95° outside. For it to be cold, it would have had to have been sitting out for a long time. The meat was thickly cut (and jagged) and sloppily placed on the bun. I decided to bite into it, and it was hard/dry. The fries were mostly crumbs - not a true curly cue fry in the box. And my iced tea tasted weeks old. I opened the cup to find what looked like river water in my cup. And really, it was just too hot today to deal with going back in line or into the store to complain. My wife ordered the Smokehouse Beef Short Rib w Cheese and I ordered the Smoke Mountain w Cheese, we couldn't figure out which one was which and had them half ate before we saw the secret code on the packaging. One didn't have any cheese and neither looked like the picture. Order came to $21.72, I gave cashier $22 and she gave me a quarter. I guess they round up to nearest quarter. Ice machine at soda fountain didn't work. Ketchup dispenser didn't work. Didn't get a receipt and wasn't offered one so couldn't do online survey for a chance to win $1000 or to voice my dissatisfaction. No doubt the cashier did the survey for me. The Smokehouse Beef Short Rib had tough chunks that I couldn't bite off so had to rip the whole chunk out of the sandwich and choke it down. Also it was very messy to eat. Wouldn't get it to go for the road. The Smoke Mountain was OK, would be better on something other than Texas toast and the onion rings were mushy. I'm pregnant and had to use the restroom first. The entire floor was sticky, and the toilet seats were unsanitary (poop smear on the back and dirty, cracked plastic seat). One toilet had no water in it but did have used toilet paper.

Out of 3 employees, not one of them acknowledged my presence at the counter but seemed to be waiting for the lady at the drive-thru window to help me (she was busy).

When a woman finally came to help, I let her know the bathroom was dirty and she told me the floor was mopped the night before. I let her know that had it not been an emergency, I wouldn't have used the restroom. That's how disgusting is was.

As she walked away from taking my order she mumbled to another coworker how she tries to be nice but sometimes just cant.
