I never write reviews, but the great service I received today (9/19/23) compelled me to say something. I don't eat at McDonald's regularly, but I was in the mood for a fish fillet and a double cheeseburger today. I was heading west to Topeka but didn't want to stop at a particular McDonald's on I-70 because of poor quality.
I knew about this Bonner Springs location but I've never stopped here before so I decided to place an order here via the mobile app. I arrived at the location, picked up my order and left. Upon opening the bag, the very first thing that grabbed my attention was how nicely wrapped my double cheeseburger was. This may not seem like a big deal, but that really impressed me because EVERY McDonald's I've ever been to never put that much care into the way a sammich is wrapped, and believe it or not, it DOES feel different in your hands when a package is neatly folded.
At that point, I didn't even open it because I wanted to eat the fish sammich first. Opened the cardboard box for the fish sammich and again, I was impressed! The fish filet was perfectly centered on the bun, the cheese was placed perfectly on the fillet, the tarter sauce was perfect and the bun was soft. Again, every McDonald's I've ever been to just throws the food together and it just looks sloppy.
Now for the double cheeseburger. Again, the hamburger and cheese were perfectly centered, I got the extra onion I asked for, the perfect amount of ketchup was on it, and the bun was soft and not flattened because of the perfect way it was wrapped. Anyone that has ever been to a McDonald's surely knows what I'm talking about... you get your food and everything looks like it was tossed together from a distance like it was a game or something. The biggest takeaway from this experience was how nicely the food was presented and I was truly impressed! It was like the food you see in promotional photos and billboards.
I think it's really important to thank and give praise whenever good service is received, because sadly, getting good service is kind of a rarity here in this day and age. With THAT said, big props and a serious, 'THANK YOU' to whoever the food prep person was that prepared my meal. If by some chance you happen to read this, I want you to know that I truly do appreciate the care you gave in preparing my meal and I hope this inspires you to continue doing a good job, whether it be this or anything else that you...
Read moreOk first I want to say that friendliness has never been a priority of this McDonald's. Never have I seen a smile on any employee's face at this location. I had a mobile order for a powerade and coffee. That's it. 2 beverages. After getting my powerade I was told to "pull forward for my coffee" confused I asked if something was wrong with coffee or was I waiting on a new brew. I was told no but I still needed to pull forward for 1 coffee. So I did. I wasn't told where to pull forward to but only to pull forward. Never did I receive an apology for the inconvenience. After pulling forward I started to recieve threats and foul language from people behind me whose orders had been filled. Where the employee told me to pull up at was still blocking traffic. After 1-2 minutes of constant honking and cursing at me, a different employee came out very angry and yelled at me "make 2 lefts!!!" Far different from "pull forward". After receiving such horrible and disrespectful service I refused to move. I stood my ground when bullied by the employee who again raised her voice in an aggressive way and said that if I didn't move, my order would be refunded back to me. At this point we were on almost 4-5 minutes after I was told initially to "pull forward". Yes there are many ways this could have gone but in the end I was refunded way way more $$$ than what I paid for my items and a horrible perception has forever been cemented for this location. My advice to anyone that goes to this McDonald's is to put your gloves on and be ready to possibly receive horrible, I mean humiliating services from this location. Shame on this franchise owner for allowing the people that make it comfortable for you to lay your head down at night to be treated so disgustingly by you rude and disrespectful employees. To McDonald's, please message me back if you need any further information about this dehumanizing treatment I received. All over a coffee that I guess would have taken over 5 minutes to...
Read moreThis McDonalds has to be the worst Customer service experience yet!! This was the first time I have ever been to this restaurant. it was raining I place my order and drove to the window they barley cracked the window enough to take my debit card then slamed it shut! cracked it open enough topass the debit card back through, then I went to the next window and the girl practically threw my ice tea through a crack in the window and then blurted out something I did not understand, i waited and asked what did you say???? and knocked on the window to ask again, she blurted out somthing again and slamed the window again, my sister was on my phone through my car speakers and said I think she wanted you to pull up, So i pulled up and waited atleast 20 minutes the the So called manager came to my car and angrily hands a sack at me and tells me ne t time to do what they tell me to do at the window!! Remember this is the first tIme at this fiasco of a restaurant! his name was Mike and he was so RUDE, I tossed the food out! I told him they wouldnt keep the window open long enough to tell me that I had to drive clear around to the other side of the building and his responsewas well its raining and they dont want to get wet! But all along my car window was down in my brand new car and getting wet inside! I thought rhat when people worked the drive through they knew they would have to deal with any wether situation??? Atleast they do at other restaurants, I went in to get his name and he was yelling to get out and never come back! he said he was going to take my tag number and call the police . I waited with my sister on the phone so she could also explain what she heard but they never showed up. its sad that a man with napoleons syndrome is in a management position! Needless to say, my first time there was most definitely my last time there! The place is a...
