Teriyaki Wok & Sushi — Restaurant in Bonney Lake

Sometimes I wonder what peoples frame of reference is for really good food. Food is just OK, several times it was just slop and looked like it came from a can, the sauce watered down and slimy, the meat and vegetables overcooked. We've always just had take out, I always dread calling because they act like they don't understand English and they're so quick to get you off the phone one time they hung up on me right in the middle of me still trying to place my order, my wife gets so frustrated trying to place an order she refuses to call. We haven't been back in six months, probably wont go back. Unfortunately we've found most of the teriyaki joints up here in Bonney lake to be just sub par. About every three months or so we'll try one, are disappointed, then next time try the other one and so on, we shouldn't have to eat teriyaki ever week so we luck out and half the time its any good. Kind of go round and round, I cant believe all the good reviews I think people just don't take the time to post bad reviews they just stop going, like us we haven't had teriyaki in six months. Gf and I used to love visiting here frequently. I dont remember when it was but the day they brought the tablets to the tables was the day this place fell apart. Service sucks cause they want you to order through a tablet system that has never worked properly after over a year. They won't even come around to refill your water or see if everything is ok unless you find that button on the tablet. Shortly after the tablets came ingredients obviously started changing so dishes weren't half as good. For example they use to have the best California rolls but now theyre super sweet and sugary. Even their oolong tea was the best but they switched that out for something that taste like dirt. Prices also went way up and portions way down. I highly recommend any other teriyaki joint. We haven't been disappointed since finally giving up on this spot. You'll have less chances of disappointment going...

Update 2/1/2024: New owners. Now includes a sushi bar. Food was great and the staff was friendly. Very busy with a lot of to go orders. Family Dinner #1 was so much food. Lots of leftovers. Recommended

Update 6/12/2022: Family style dinners are a lot of food! Very good tonight. Staff is always great. Katsu chicken is very good. This place has really been consistent over the last two years. Recommended

Old review: Staff was friendly and very good. Environment seemed pretty clean to me. Spacious with multiple tables. Ordered the teriyaki chicken and Beijing beef and received egg flower soup before the main dish arrived.
