Okasan Teriyaki — Restaurant in Bonney Lake

Sometimes I wonder what peoples frame of reference is for really good food. Food is just OK, several times it was just slop and looked like it came from a can, the sauce watered down and slimy, the meat and vegetables overcooked. We haven't been back in a long time, probably won’t go back. Unfortunately we've found most of the teriyaki joints up here in Bonney lake to be just sub-par. About every three months or so we'll try one, are disappointed, then next time try the other one and so on, we shouldn't have to eat teriyaki ever week so we luck out and half the time its any good. Kind of go round and round, I cant believe all the good reviews I think people just don't take the time to post bad reviews they just stop going, like us we haven't had teriyaki in six months. This post is about HONESTY AND TRUST. I normally wouldn't post about my experience, but outright THEFT has inspired me to warn anybody that patrons this restaurant and pays with their card to ask for their receipt and check it for accuracy. I had a chicken dinner takeout order. I normally don't tip for a pick up order. But the guy working the till decided I needed to tip him 2.75 extra just for ringing me up! This is about PRINCIPLE!! If I choose not to tip someone for doing the basest of their job where I received no real SERVER SERVICE, I should be able to trust that my ticket isn't padded without consent after I leave. Yummy!! I'm new to eating in this area and was in search of a great teriyaki place in bonney lake. I'm spoiled and used to Tacoma's #1 fried rice. (Not just a cleaver name!) As well saki and sushi in North Tacoma. I've played around at a few teriyaki places but couldn't find that ONE, till Okasan!!! Teriyaki sauce is definatly a step above chicken, pork, beef, was delicious. Gyoza, noodles yummy! My love is a great fried rice with character.
