I walked into Al Hara Shawarma thinking I was just grabbing a quick bite. From the minute I ordered, the chef himself came out, acknowledged us, and thanked us for coming in. That kind of gesture told me right away this place was different. What I got was an experience that hit me straight in the heart. The moment I took that first bite of shawarma, I was transported back home. The flavors, the freshness, the authenticity, it all came rushing back. My daughter leaned over, wide-eyed, and said, “Dad, best chicken ever.” Five stars from her on the spot.

I'm like obsessed with shawarma but I have not been able to find any place in NJ that serves shawarma the og/traditional Syrian way, same flavors and all. Al Hara somehow manages to encapsulate that tradition delicious flavor in there shawarma. And don't get me started on there falafel and bowls. Their falafel is the perfect texture for eating especially in their loaded falafel sandwich (which is also vegan), like top ten most best food ever. And then their bowls, you can customize your bowl with a various selection of sides, protein, and bases that include and accommodate for most dietary restrictions. I just love the chipotle style they have with their bowl where you can customize and pick and choose what you want in it and you just can't go wrong with the bowls/build your own. Overall amazing restaurant, workers and their service is top tier, the decor is just so immaculate, and the food is so scrumptious and delicious.
