Anthony's Pizza Town — Restaurant in Bordentown

My boyfriend and I moved to the area and popped in Anthony’s Pizza Town for a quick slice one time. It’s an older interior, but with intent as the Elvis memorabilia throughout takes you back in time. We were offered a cold beer from the cooler while we waited which was a pleasant surprise. The pizza has a thicker crust, which I prefer personally. My boyfriend had the Sicilian and I had pepperoni which we both agreed were delicious! The man behind the counter was very pleasant with us and made polite small talk. There is a sign at the counter that he prefers cash, which I have no problem with. My only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is that the one time we ordered delivery we received a regular plain pie instead of a Sicilian. We still ate it and enjoyed it. We will be coming back...

Old school pizza shop charm, delicious food! And you can have a beer with your slice! The tomato pie is To Die For with an amazing fresh basil sauce made especially for it. It is also a more heslthy and lower calorie selection since there is more tomato and herbs, and less goopy cheese. Anthony also makes a regular pizza sauce for pizzas, and a meat sauce for baked pasta dishes and meatball parm sandwiches... which are also totally Awesome delicious! Visit there next time you are in the mood for a pizza shop that makes good, old fashioned homestyle food instead of chain style mediocre pizza shops. I drive around NJ for work and try to find local mom-and-pop type restaurants for lunches regularly. I walked into Anthony’s hoping to grab a slice and some fries. Immediately upon walking in I was asked if I had cash, which for safety, I never carry around during work. I was then asked how much I wanted and somehow my heritage was brought up by saying real Italians carry cash. At this point I told them to stop and I walked out.
