They say “first impression is everything’” and I’d must say. I’d rather support my oppressors than “down home delivery”. Prior to walking into this store front I called multiple times and couldn’t get an answer. I then decided to just walk in. I drove 20 minutes just to get some food from this place. I ordered beef rib dinner and sweet chilli wings dinner with two banana puddings. Wish I could tell you “how’d it taste” but unfortunately after waiting patiently in their lobby for my order for 30 minutes someone called out my name over the loud speaker. I said to myself “ thank god my order is finally ready” as I walked to the counter. Upon getting to the counter the young lady advised me that “there was no more ribs left”. I asked her how could that be possible; and why would anyone just inform me of such information 30 minutes after placing my order. I literally sat in the lobby and talked with other customers for 30 minutes to wait for this unprofessional “store front to tell me they did not have what I ordered. I then waited an additional 5 minutes while I listened to the lady at the front and the line workers go back and forth on “how there wasn’t anymore beef ribs left” and how “there was two dinners left when I placed my order”. I then immediately requested for my money to be refunded to my card. I also told them(sarcastically) “what a wonderful first experience” said thank you to the heavy set woman at the front for my refund receipt and left the establishment. Sometimes you just can’t support your kind, and it u it s what it is at this point. I’ve grown to realize just that. Furthermore, I’d support my oppressors before I’d ever support “down...
Read moreI've have been to two events that had food catered from this company. I've also got an order from them once before. It was a long wait for that order also, that's why I took my time coming to pick up this one. Most of the food was good. Mac& Cheese, yams, veggie kabobs, fried chicken, corn bread, meatballs, pulled pork. Lemon aid. Some of these items was at the events, not on the menu. Although they should be. However it's really unfortunate that when you place an order, they tell you 10-15 minutes it will be ready. I give them 35 minutes before I got there. Then waited in line for another 10 minutes to pick up. Only for them to say they need another 10 minutes. I was really?? She said, you want to cancel? I said yes, I can't wait anymore. I had somewhere to go. While I was there a police officer came in to ask if his order was ready yet. They told him 10 more minutes also. He never mind, he couldn't wait, he had to go back to work. He missed his whole lunch break waiting for food he never got. Someone else was also complaining about how long it was taken for their food also. Now I know two orders got cancelled mine, and the cop. At the rate they are going, they will be out of business with people canceling their order, because it takes to long. You can't have people waiting for food for almost an hour, or more. I hope they can change things around quickly, and gain back people's trust in them. If they can turn it around, it would be a good spot. It's also something that the area needs. I do...
Read more1 tarter sauce packet. That is all you will get if you ask for tartar sauce with the fish dinner when picking up an online order. They were going to charge me when I asked for more packets. Seriously… this place nickels and dimes you. After being shocked that a person has to pay for every packet of tartar sauce, a nice employee whispered to me saying that I would have to sneak over to the cashier inside the restaurant and for more tartar sauce. When you order online using Uber eats, you can only retrieve your order by standing outside by a sliding window on the side of the restaurant. When I initially I got to the window in the kitchen the staff person just looked at me through the window pointing to something with look of annoyance. Since I had never ordered anything through Uber Eats, I didn’t know the restaurant protocol. With an exasperated look, she opened the sliding window and said I was supposed to show her the picture of my order on the phone before she even opened the window. If that’s the protocol, post the instructions on the window rather than having a look of annoyance. Communicating with a paying customer through a closed glass window, is unprofessional. Even if not intentional, it can communicates that you are scared of or don’t want to be bothered with the community you serve. If you’re even remotely scared of being in this neighborhood or robbed then don’t even have your...
