The food is mediocre at its best. It's not authentic so they claim it to be and I hate they say that it is. I tried the food TWICE before I left this review and each time I ordered multiple items so I can give them a fair chance. The Doubles are not good at all so don't waste your time buying them. Mac pie always seems old and dry. Curry chicken is missing the curry. The food is overly spicy with no real seasoning to taste and it's also too hyped up. Even the drinks are expensive! I paid over $30 per plate each time and it was never worth it. I am upset about that. I also don't like that the workers sit outside smoking cigarettes and weed and they also drink alcohol on the job. Maybe that's why the food isn't as good as it should be. The other owners name is Ragga and he's extremely flirtatious which is unnecessary and he sits outside with there apron on smoking. Very unsanitary and disgusting. The workers do the same thing. You can drive by and see them smoking and drinking outside the business. I witnessed the woman owner have a meltdown yelling at one of the workers in there. I think he is a chef and another girl. The woman with messed up teeth always seems to have an attitude or be upset when I come in there. It's an unprofessional restaurant being ran over there. I will say the restaurant looks clean though and decent music was...
Read moreI just attempted to complete my meal but the portions were so generous that I couldn’t. I didn’t even get a chance to take any pictures. I bought 2 meals; stew chicken and curry chicken. I had the curry, my friend had the stew. I also tried some of her plate. This stew chicken taste just like the stew chicken that I get at Alpecos on the avenue when I visit Trinidad. Peas and rice taste fresh. Macaroni pie was better than what I’ve had at other Caribbean restaurants in the city, also taste freshly made. We don’t really have any Afro/creole Trinidadian restaurants here in Boston and I will encourage my people and will absolutely support them. My food was delicious and well worth the price. These are generally the same prices that I pay for food at other Caribbean restaurants such as Haitian and Jamaican. My friend who is Dominican thoroughly enjoyed her meal as well. She also hasn’t had much Trinidadian food and she loved everything. Everything I had tastes like it was made at home with love. Seasoned to perfection and not rushed. God bless you all and your establishment. Keep cooking and stay positive! You have 2 new frequent customers and look forward to purchasing food at your...
Read moreI heard of this new Trinidad spot and I was skeptical at first but when I went inside the restaurant I was overwhelmed with amount of selections they have on the menu. They literally give you the best of both worlds with southern soul food as an option and the Trinidad cuisine is the best I have had since I visited the island. I would say the best in Boston hands down. They greet everyone who comes in with smiles and make you feel at home with good conversation. I have went multiple times to see if the customer service changes and it does not. My wife and my family have also ate from there due to my recommendations and they have said the same thing. The owner will open doors and help you to your car at times with the food. Very rare to find a place who has good food and great customer service. Usually if the food is good the service is bad because they get big headed(in my experience) but Mum Mich has shown you can have it all when you eat from them. They are very professional. As a Trinidadian I am very proud and very pleased I can still get a taste...
