Discrimination here is rampant 1st time going here and a few other times nothing but cussing in another language. I'm not sure what policy that is but its disgusting .If you speak only English great if not be prepared for foul language and to be called names in another language they think you dont speak or understand. Foul language seems to be a regular practice among the employees at the register. Some pretending not to know english with a bad attitude or as a relative of mine experienced cashier that doesn't understand english on the pos system and at all barely getting through the transaction. One cashier doesnt even know how to use the register. You end up with multiple single items scan 2 or more times incorrect cash back. The cashier fails to understand and can't explain to you how the rewards program works and its benefits. Customers shouldn't need a translator to go shopping with them nor be cussed at, double charged, or here from english speaking relatives how they couldn't sign up or get help they needed due to language barrier.
Its a decent store but the employees with there hateful words yuck. Alot of the items here are over priced some stuff reasonably priced and very few items cheaper then stop n shop. Once you get past the poor customer service and foul language its an OK place.
CHECK YOUR RECEIPT for correct change if paying with cash. CHECK YOUR RECEIPT for the number of items you purchased because they double scan item's here. Could be the discrimination tax idk
Hopefully the foul language thing is...
Read moreThis place has been fighting an uphill battle since day one, and I give them a lot of credit for sticking with it. They’ve steadily improved their operations while continuing to offer something truly rare — a community-run food co-op — in a city increasingly dominated by corporate grocery chains.
The recent upgrades to the produce section and the thoughtful re-merchandising of the store have made a real impact. It now feels more accessible, better stocked, and easier to navigate. I’ve been able to cover most, if not all, of my weekly shopping in one visit — with prices comparable to Stop & Shop.
I sincerely hope they continue to prosper and grow their customer base. It won’t be easy, but what they’re doing is meaningful and absolutely...
Read moreI love this grocery store. It’s not too big and they almost every essential you need. Plus they are very open to suggestions, which I think is very unique compared to the bigger chain supermarkets.
It is very clean, very organized and the staff are very friendly. They have halal chicken, bulk flour, grains, sugar and nuts. They also have bulk cleaning products. Finally they serve hot food and coffee.
This is a co-op which means it is owned by the employees and the community they serve. As of now, the membership is a flat one time fee and it includes a monthly discount, which is great for large purchases.
Please support and do your food shopping here. Let’s keep this asset alive and thriving...
