My friend and I are regulars at energize and we frequent the Symphony branch, which we love. Recently, we started visiting this location once we learned about it and its proximity to us. Usually, the service at Symphony is amazing, and the food is consistently fresh and delicious. However, during our second or third visit to this branch, I encountered an employee I hadn't seen before (this wouldn't be an issue if she was nice) While my in-store experience with her seemed pretty neutral, the situation turned sour when I called to request a refund for our orders. The Acai bowls we received were flavorless and watery, which was incredibly uncommon considering our frequent visits. I felt compelled to call, hoping for a refund or possibly to have the bowls remade. Instead, I was met with extreme rudeness and arrogance. She suggested I "put the bowls in the freezer," which I found just crazy. Why would I buy a meal just to put it in the freezer? Among other unpleasant comments, she insinuated that perhaps it was hot outside or that I had traveled too far. This was also odd to me because it isn't a hot day, in-fact, it's more cool than its been the past week, and I had traveled less than ten minutes to get to my destination. How could something melt that fast when I've had it remain solid on much hotter days and longer journeys? keep in mind that she is saying all of this in a rude tone. Despite my attempts to reason with her and explain the situation, she continued to be dismissive and even claimed to be the manager. Yet, she refused to offer any form of resolution, not even an apology. It was at this point that my friend began recording the conversation when she noticed her hostility. I tried to convey to her that I manage my own store that sells food, and we always strive to satisfy our customers, whether it's through compensating their meal, offering a refund, or finding another solution. However, she brushed off my attempts at communication. When I mentioned that I would be calling another location to address the issue, she simply said, "Okay," and hung up. This treatment of a loyal customer who spends their hard-earned money at the establishment regularly left me with a bitter taste.
While the men who typically serve us are fantastic, unfortunately, I'm not sure how often I'll be returning after this incident. If I do return, I refuse to order while she's working, and I advise others to do the same.
UPDATE: The manager from the Symphony location personally called us and handled the situation wonderfully. I really appreciate his help and how he resolved the issue. This is the best location, and I’d highly recommend it. My friend and I will...
Read moreI may have found my new go-to healthy eating place! (after Sweetgreen, Clover, and few others). Tried the Healthy Heaven for my drink, somehow tasted like cardamom for me and I could chew bits of dates. Texture was rather thick. An interesting combination of flavors. Ordered Protein Bowl and Super Bowl. I would say the price of the drinks is on a pricier side, but the portion size of the bowls is good and worth the price. A mix of veggies was surprisingly refreshing, and yes it did taste very healthy but I liked it more than I had anticipated. Ordered it online and the service was quick - they had it ready in like 15-20 min and store the food in the fridge not in the room air like most stores. Appreciated that and I could enjoy my drink cold. The store space inside is small and only has like 3-4 tables to sit in, and feels a little stuffy inside (with a large and high counter, felt like a fortress). So gave 4 for Atmosphere. But would be a perfect place to grab food/drinks/snacks to enjoy outside - there is a nice Reserve nearby as well. I will likely be coming back to try the Acai Bowls or other Smoothie Bowls. Looks really good...
Read moreEnergize is a healthy restaurant with a wide range of Acai bowls, Health smoothies, and salads. We came in on a weekday for a quick bite, and it wasn't that busy and found seating quite quickly.
The staff are friendly, they make the bowls quite quickly, and have a good positive attitude when greeting customers entering and leaving. They were able to help explain anything we didn't know or understand, and make customizations to the bowls if needed.
We got one of the regular Acai bowls. For the price, it was a bit smaller that what I would've expected, and didn't have as many toppings. However, from what I could tell, the acai was pretty fresh and tasted good, and it definitely had decent quality and fresh...
