Beacon Convenience — Local services in Boston

I love this store I come here every day. Not kidding every day. The staff are friendly and helpful, they have a pretty ok selection. Prices are high but that goes for all convenient stores. B U T There’s 1 big problem. The morning weekday guy? Mr. Mustache Man. HE MOVES 1 mile per hour in the morning. There are lines of people at 7-8am waiting for this guy as he gingerly rings people up so slow, you’d think he’s handling the most fragile glass in the world. Cant tell you how many times ive missed the train right across the street because it took him 3 minutes to ring up my coffee. He’s a fully capable man. People have places to be in the morning. My favorite little corner store. Has your typical basics plus some surprises that show its unique personality. Some grocery produce, nitro cold brew plus hot coffee, a variety of nice cheeses, frozen Indian dishes, hand blown glass pipes (lol), and my personal favorite: dairy free Ben n Jerry Ice cream. And how could I forget — they have toilet paper :) The owner really takes pride in his store and his offerings. I mentioned once that I was dairy free, and in one week I had options of which ice cream to buy. I am moving soon and will really miss this...

I WANT to love it, but the prices are so high it’s incredible. $2.99 for an ice cream sandwich? $6.99 for a pint of ice cream? $5.00 for a bag of chips? You’re usually higher than CVS by a dollar and it’s across the street. I love the community feel. Please lower your prices so I can stop going to CVS for my late...
