New York Fried Chicken & Pizza — Restaurant in Boston

If you're in the Boston area and looking for soul food, order from Soulfire or one of the many Wings places. This place does not deserve your service. Not only are their delivery drivers incompetent and rude (since when is it okay to lie to customers and then yell at them when they have proof of what it is you're lieing about?) but they also do not get the orders correct. We ordered the family box, and all 3 sides were missing when it arrived. After calling the restaurant it then took over an hour for the rest of the meal to arrive. We understand mistakes happen...but when they do, you correct it immediately and apologetically, recognizing that it is your fault. You don't take forever to send it when your restaurant is just a few minutes away, you don't yell at the customer, and you take responsibility. That's just good business practice. Now as for the food...just order the chicken, do not order their combo meals or sides. The sides are tasteless, watery, and single-size portions even for the larger combos which are supposed to be for a full family. Better yet, just order from SoulFire; you won't be...

I placed an order online for delivery 1 day in advance - plenty of time for them to ensure the order was correct. They showed up 1 hr late to deliver the food, tried to make me come out and get the food instead of delivering it to the retail location that i had Set up the delivery to and then THREATENED MY EMPLOYEE saying that he was going to charge us for the ticket he got because apparently he is incompetent and didn’t park legally. The food is cold and the experience was awful. I would NEVER recommend anyone order from this place. If you don’t want to deliver to a retail location DON’T. However, if you are going to do that you shouldn’t allow the app to let you place an order to that location. All I can say is… wow! My roommate suggested we walk to New York Chicken from our place to pick up dinner, and I tagged along with a friend of ours. We picked up differing chicken meals with fries; plus, my roommate got mashed potatoes. If you ask the restaurant will give you lots of hot sauce, ketchup, salt, and pepper packets too. I was blown away by the taste of the food; it was on a level above than what I was expecting. My roommate tells me this is because the food is blessed by a rabbi. We took our food to the park and had a feast. Our group discovered that dipping the french fries in the mashed potatoes is a delicious combo, so make sure to buy both sides.
