I feel it's time to add some more inputs on my review. Tacos Tuesdays are great deals with chicken and pork only....but absolutely to pay more to enjoy the finest tacos from La Fonda St: I am truly in love with the fish (tilapia) tacos as well as the grilled shrimps tacos (see newly added pictures). From now on any day can be my Taco day lol
Below was my first review: My very first experience with authentic Mexican and Dominican fresh homemade food in Boston. This little gem in Brighton serves hot delicious Latin American meals straight from the kitchen without any lag time when dine in. Mio and Martín are very friendly and hospitable host! Absolutely five stars for all tacos on the menu I ordered (It was a Taco Tuesday where some of their flagship Tacos cost for only $2 each). The Tamarindo justice just did its magic to help me enjoy and finish all food on the table without making my stomach being overwhelmed (I thought I over ordered coz I wanted to try as much as different good food on the menu; obviously I would need to come to dine for several more days in order to try and taste all the good food here). Finally, I would also want to give 5 stars for the bathroom for the culturally rich art paintings on the wall. La Fonda St becomes my cafeteria for lunch when working in Brighton. Just look at the different angles of the Dominican bowl ! Everything on the menu is a...
Read moreFor nearly a decade, this storefront saw the arrival and departure of many restaurants. But La Fonda Street is the only one that has grabbed my taste buds and heart. The franchise did not match her passion for her own place, a place where she could see her vision come to life. She decided to fly solo and dreamt up La Fonda Street. And I'm certainly glad she did. The menu is now hers. The space is now hers. The environment is now hers. Apart from the fantastic food that is possibly one of the last fairly priced restaurants in the city, the vibe inside is always so welcoming. I can feel a definite shift in the spirit of the place. The places that came before in the past 10 years didn't have what La Fonda Street has. I certainly hope it...
Read moreI was beyond hungry. Haven’t ate all day. Me and my wife were looking for food locally and came across this spot. Off rip I judged the establishment and said it won’t be as good. We walked in and looked at the menu. I eventually just took the risk and got birria tacos. We shared a plate of two and was amazed. I was completely shocked at the strong and rich pallet on the birria. We end up ordering another two birria, a chicken pastor taco (so damn good omg), and chimichurri steak tacos. We had the natural juices. This place is a gem. You literally have gained new customers who will definitely...
