Love this place.
Ambiance: Hands down, this is by far one of the best places to dine in. You actually feel like you've been transported away from the city (maybe to Thailand?!) with the gorgeous art work on the walls and the silent surroundings, and the aquarium with the pretty fishes. I especially love coming here for lunch, it's like a calming experience for me - even their plates remind you to 'breathe' and 'relax' :)
Food: I've tried so many things, and they've all been great. My favorite is their curry noodle soup with udon noodles. The broth is so flavorful. It's perfect on a cold day (I like it on hot days too!). The kao kra pow, thai basil fried rice, mango curry with rice, drunken noodles and veggie fried rice are a few other favorites. As a side, especially with a curry dish, the papaya salad is yummy. Sometimes, if I only want a snack, I'll just get a bowl of their soup. Doesn't matter which one, they're all great - but the chicken galangal one is my favorite.
Service: Everyone is friendly. Service always comes with a smile. They're very accommodating with your requests. I prefer steamed tofu over fried, and they kindly oblige. Even with spice level requests, they're spot on.
Thank you, Bamboo Thai, for a wonderful meal experience every...
Read moreExceptionally bad customer service. The waitress was acting like she is doing some favor to us. We have been waiting for such a long time, no one showed up. I had to literally go to her to ask her to come take our order. The restaurant wasn’t busy at all. No one was there except us. She was sitting and reading something on her phone. Anyway when she came she took the order and again disappeared for a long time again. At the time of bill payment she was the same way. We have been waiting and waiting then when finally came, started asking for tip. On which I said tip is optional only if we like the service. Then she started arguing and said next time if you don’t want to give tip then don’t dine in, just do take out. I responded back that’s not how it works, that’s not how it is in other restaurants. On this she clearly said it on my face that GO TO OTHER RESTAURANTS Next time. I am never going back to this Thai place again. As far as food is concerned, the quantity was small and it was too salty. The owner of the restaurant should really needs to take action and responsibility of this poor customer service and rude...
Read moreThe restaurant is more formal when it comes to Thai food, boasting a full dining room with a fish tank. There is also a drink menu which most family Thai restaurants don't have. The food is on the bland / mild side of the spectrum which is nice if you aren't looking for something heavy. The chicken satay appetizer is a great start to the meal, and is grilled nicely with sides of peanut dipping sauce. I generally stick with the pad thai, which has nice moist noodles and plenty of flavor from the vegetables and chicken. The food tastes great, and you get healthy portions for the price you pay. The staff is also very friendly. I was a bit concerned on my last visit when I bit into an inedible shrimp tail in a curry that was not supposed to have any shrimp in it. I brought it to our server's attention and she said she would figure out what happened but never gave...
