I am here in Boston for PAX. I come here from Michigan to enjoy a good time with people from Twitch and I want to have good food and enjoy myself. Firstly, I ordered off Grubhub for the first time. This experience has been terrible, I get a called from a guy with an accent I barely understand and he claims to not understand what I'm saying after he said "I'm at the movie" and he hungup. I called the pizza place and asked about the status of my order after being hungup on, and he said it would be delivered up. He didn't ask my order or who I was, he knew exactly what was going on. After twenty minutes of him supposedly being here I get a call from the hotel front desk and I go down 8 stories to get my pizza from him... And wait... He left it behind the front desk. Not only did I get lied about him coming up to my room but he abandoned it to the hotel personnel and without any communication of that fact from the establishment.
I don't know what kind of ethics this place has, but don't literally hangup on me because you don't speak English and don't tell me I'm being delivered to in my hotel room WHICH I PAID AND TIPPED FOR if you're not going to follow through. In my return trips to Boston I will hope to see this place either under new management or out of business, this is extremely off putting and I want my money back because this place...
Read moreI was starving after surgery at New England Baptist on December 23rd. It was 7 pm, and needless to say, the kitchen at the hospital was closed. A cold, low sodium chicken noodle soup and ham and cheese on white bread was not cutting it. The nurse dropped the menu on my table. No offer to help me order, as I was full of pain killers and a bit loopy, or anything at all; oh, did I mention I was crying? I think she was annoyed that she had to get me a menu.
The gentleman who answered at Pizza Talia was as patient as possible as I tried to navigate the menu and find a credit card in my bag. Yes, no one from the hospital staff tried to help out at all. They did go down and to the lobby to get my food because the delivery person is not allowed up. How nice of them!
I know this is more of a rant about the hospital than a rave about Pizza Talia, but the food came quick and hot. Although I only took three bites of the cheeseburger and ate a few onion rings - they were delicious.
Unfortunately, my full knee replacement pain was more than I could take, and I could not concentrate on the food.
I just wanted to say thank you to Pizza Talia. You never know who you are helping on the other end of the phone.
Onion rings are my new go-to...
Read moreIf I could give this place a 0 star I would. I honestly have eaten from here since I was 8-9 back in the early 2000s and this place back then was honestly the best. As the years went by, new owner, employees and well; it’s no longer the same. I expierieced 2 horrendous cases here. #1 I was walking home from school as usual and bought a slice (I did that everyday) and well this day, I didnt even put my slice down anywhere, as I’m almost done w my pizza, I see something moving. I look, and it was a damn roach.. gross! I went back and told them, he tells me it wasn’t there. I was so frustrated because I loved them so much, and ate there so much. So I quit, I stopped and then after 4 years gave it another try, this time I bought a large box of pizza. It was a dried up piece on this one slice and no one wanted it, my dad was like let’s see what that is.. boy I wanted to throw up! It was a disgusting burned cooked Worm! One of the disgusting ones! Ugh! Never again! I hate this place,...
