My experience confirmed again why I moved out of the city of Boston! It was my first time and based on the reviews it seemed like it would be worth a 40 minute drive! It is sad that I can not ask questions regarding the food without an old trouble making black man saying over and over beggars can’t be choicy! I did not know he was paying for my food! It would have been nice if the owner stepped in and told him to chill out. I am so happy that I stopped responding to ignorant people! The guy was annoying and I wanted to just walk out but I wanted to support this new eatery!
As for the food the fried chicken is not cooked to order and it was dirty/greasy! Please change the grease! One piece was barely luke warm and the others were cold. The collards were tender but it had a strange flavor. I forgot to ask if it’s made in pork but the black old guy might of said beggars can’t be choicy! SMH! The Mac & cheese was not cheesy or flavorful. I tried the turkey sausage, cheese, and rice ball, it was okay. Lastly, I liked the watermelon @ hibiscus drink!
All of the food was cold! Smh!!!

Read moreWe wanted to try this place this past Friday based on all the reviews but couldn’t even place an order because they were closed despite their website stating they were open. We tried to call the order in and the phone line was busy, then we called back and the call failed so we tried to order online thinking maybe the phone was down. The online system said we couldn’t add food to the order at that time, meaning they were closed. Any reasonable person would call their order in before showing up.
Someone else’s review mentioned this place wasn’t open when they went, despite the site saying they should have been. So this isn’t just a one-off occurrence. We tried to support a local business but we’ve taken this restaurant off our list and won’t bother again. It’s so unprofessional. Why have those hours if you can’t be open? Why not, in 2025, at least update your website the day(s) when you’re “unexpectedly” closed. We tried to support our community just for this to happen. I never make reviews i just take the lose and move on in silent but no. How u order 50$ worth foor get 2 small sandwiches and the remaining order not in the bag 🤔 and then staff tell me to reorder ? What, and then proceed to tell me they not sure if I can get the remaining order because the door dash drivers not responding lol , so im out a lose for 30$ and still have to order more food from another place since im at work .... try to support small local business and discarded at least he was apologetic, but not their hard earned money thrown away .... yes 1 and done won't get my business or money again , and won't send any customers out my mouth there.
