Pros: Fried plantains were good. Food came out pretty quickly. Clean. Cons: [1] The menu is not descriptive, so you have to ask what's on there for a lot of the items. For example, one just says "Grandma's breakfast" with a picture, but you only see one egg that hides everything what's underneath. Also, even if it has a description, it's not too accurate. [2] They also give straws automatically, which is bad for the environment. [3] The service was bad. Our waitress smiled and wasn't blatantly rude, but it was really hard getting her attention even though the place wasn't crowded. After a group of men she knew sat down, most of her focus went to them. My sister stretched her hand as much as she could and audibly said, "excuse me" several times when the waitress was right in front of us, and she just walked right passed us. When I tried getting the check, I had to go to the counter (because she wasn't coming to us) and said, "can we get the check please?" 3x for me to get her attention. [4] Plus, the food wasn't that great. My sister got the Tipico Salvadereño and it was quite salty. We also got a bowl of fruit, which was topped with something that looked like powdered sugar. I asked her if it was powdered sugar, she said no. So I asked what it was or what it consisted of, but she couldn't answer that. Tips: [1] ask for no straw for your drinks. [2] ask for no or light salt.

Awesome place, we went there the day after the snowstorm and was opened and clean, to warm up we drank a hot cocoa. 08/10 We also ate a Burrito of Carne Asada and a Quesadilla Mix (pollo and carne) the food was outstanding and took a little time to come but was totally understandable because of the chef's effort. 09/10 At the end my husband got a nice espresso. We'll definitely go back there.

Delicious fresh homemade tasting food! I love the gordita and the papas locas! Support this small business! I am always greeted with kindness!

I placed an online order for pickup and I was beyond disappointed with my order. They were honestly the worst pupusas I've ever had (and I've never really had a bad one before today). I ordered 1 bean w/cheese and 1 fried pork w/cheese. They were like rubber- and the rubber texture was hard and really gummy on the edges-way too much cornmeal/rice flour and not enough filling. The bean and cheese one tasted okay but the outside corncake was terrible! The fried pork w/ cheese was really bland- no flavor at all- could only tast the cheese; and the corncake on this one was terrible too. The curtido (coleslaw) that they serve with them was pretty good, but they didn't even serve enough of it for the 2 massive rubber corncakes that they give you. If the pupusas were done right- I would've definitely appreciated a little bit more curtido considering the size of them. I ate less than half of both because I could not get past how terrible the outside was. Chewing the corncake was a too much of a job. I live nearby so I really want to like this place, but based off tonight's order- I don't think I want to give them another try. Oh... and the lady at the counter...
