Overall I really like this place.
We got there at 8pm and they were totally out of ice cream sandwiches.
Soft serve was solid. Lemon marscapone gelato was pretty good although a little tame on flavor as I feel it could have been punchier but the texture was good.
In the past I've gotten their slush and I think I got Passionfruit and I didn't love it. This was last year so not sure if anything's changed but it was a little lacking in flavor and texture although still decent for sure.
Cheap cones, at least the ones we got although maybe they have different ones for upsell? But I didn't see any.
This is a basic neighborhood place that's no frills and their menu partially consists of 8.5x11 pieces of paper printed out in bubble jet color from their home printer and put in plastic sleeves - it's got that type of charm haha. It's window service only on a busy street corner with minimal seating so we ate in our car but there's a bench nearby you can try to sit on. Mostly I come here and grab a slush and walk around when the...
Read moreThis will be my go-to ice cream place from now on! 😍 Their sundae already comes with nuts, whipped cream & a cherry, it's the toppings that are optional: hot, fridge, caramel, strawberry, etc. A small goes for $5, a large for $7. I asked for banana as well and the server provided it with no extra charge! This is unlike another nearby ice cream place that insured I pay that penny even though I only had bills.
I got soft serve with my sundae (you can get your sundae with gelato) and it seemed creamier than conventional soft serve.
This is only a take-out window. So, no indoor seating, but they have a few benches out front-- but they're only 2-3 blocks away from the park.
I'll definitely be back to try their other stuff: affogato $6 and gelato panini $7, I'm...
Read moreOne thing I would change is to have an indoor seating area. Other than that … So good! We all had a Gelati as they call it, slush & soft serve layered together in delicious goodness.
My creation was coconut cream with chocolate soft serve. So good I wanted a second for the road. The servers were super patient with my kids & their 50 questions along with their requests for samples.
My boys had the root beer slush with the twist soft serve. Tasted amazing, wasn’t the most appealing color after it melted together. My picky eater was able to get over it, obviously the taste was better than the color was off putting. My girls had the blue vanilla with the twist soft serve.
Was worth the drive from Southie, wish we had one back home on...
