My coworker and I wanted to support black owned businesses during Black History Month. Fell in love with place, ordered a few times and love the quality of the coffee. I did a Uber Eats delivery and for the past couple of days our beverages were either spilled all in the bag, or either half wasted in the bag. Today was the straw that broke the camals back after the last threedays of our items spilled in the bag. We ordered two drinks which came in a four cup holder on all three days. I feel like during the month of Black History Month they set this bar of excellence while providing us during the whole month of February two cup holders in our delivery. Not that we not in February the standards have stopped? I phoned the store and the female said she told the driver to be careful and that she was sorry for using the four cup holder. Well, I'm not happy that I payed $5 and some change for a 1/4 cup of iced macchiato. Also, yes I can tip in the app but I also am a realist and people prefer cash. Yes, the driver is getting their share but the way times are I feel like you should tip whatever you can and I tip the driver cash and now I regret. I will not be ordering unless I am picking up myself because I do not trust their packaging, the female on the phone sounded like she was high and I'm all for diversity but I don't think it is an all African American staff there based on the conversation and tone, although I don't mind being wrong but this place most likely won't get my service and I suggest you go and pick up your order and avoid delivery...AT...
Read moreI'm a regular at Ripple and usually have a great experience there until today. When I walked in the cashier- Kayla greeting me and told me she could take my order at the front, I said okay. I put my belongings down first so that I could set up for a meeting that I had in a few mins. About 3 mins later Kayla comes by and sternly says to me again, I can take your order up front. At this point, I started feeling a bit uncomfortable because I could tell she was rushing me and didn't want me to sit down until I ordered. I then went up to the register and told her that I plan on ordering I just wanted to get settled first. She tells me that they don't like customers sitting down before ordering... While I understand the point of this this is a bit inconsiderate to customers. I wasn't even there for 5 minutes before I was pressured to order something. I frequent cafes around Boston all of the time and I have never had anyone tell me I can't put my belongings down before ordering. I tried bringing up my concern to the manager but she was resist to talking so unfortunately I'm left leaving this negative review here. I felt so uncomfortable at that point that I just left.
SN: Mika is another cashier there and she is usually AMAZING. I've never had any issues with her. She's always been friendly and always gives me great recs on the the menu. Her music playlist always brings the perfect vibes...

I've increased my rating because in the times we've continued to go here, they have gotten more accurate, faster, and all-round better. Our food has been correct as well. Ripple definitely has the best iced coffee around, as well! This cafe is cute, affordable, and nearby. We have ordered pickup from them many times when in a rush. The front of house staff has also generally been pretty nice, though sometimes understaffed and stressed.
The problem is that literally every time we order takeout (we use Toast or similar) our sandwich orders are very incorrect. We don't do anything crazy or off menu, just choose from the options that they list with checkboxes. I don't understand how I can be consistently getting food that is so different from what was ordered.
I want to give this place a higher rating, but getting sausage sandwiches when you order egg, cheese, avocado is unpleasant. I hate sausage.
We'll keep trying because we really like the idea of this place and want it to succeed. But I wish that their processes for tracking order prep were a bit more...
