After driving by this small and unassuming place AND seeing it on phantom gourmet, I decided to try it out. We ordered several sandwiches and mini cannoli for a work luncheon and decided to try somewhere new. WHAT A HIT. We ordered the roma, the godmother, the godfather and the namesake, the dirty italian. They were all the perfect ratio of meat to bread to dressing. The bread was soft and fresh. Talya was so helpful in coordinating the order and delivery. We also have a gluten allergy in the party and TDI was so diligent in preparing and marking down the order. It was an absolute breeze! And the mini cannoli......omg?! the little cinnamon in the shells. omg

Can't wait to try more of the menu! I really thought about gatekeeping this place, but I truly can't help but exclaim my praises! My folks thought it was better than pauli's, sam lagrassa's, and monica's! A much better price point too! Thank you to Talya and her hardworking team!! Can't wait to try more of the menu! GREAT CATERER FOR WEDDING AND BEST MEATBALLS EVER!!

We recently hired the Dirty Italian‘s catering service for my son’s wedding. We had heard by word of mouth how great the food was. Anything we needed, Talya and her staff were there for us during the reception. The delicious food was kept hot and replenished as needed.

We served chicken parm, meatballs, ziti, asparagus, chicken brocolli ziti and ceaser salad. She offers many gluten free options.

Little did we know at the time that Talya, the owner, would be such a great caring, professional owner/caterer! We are now proud to call her a friend!

My husband cannot get enough of Talya’s homemade meatballs. We live in the suburbs and have made numerous trips to get meatballs to satisfy my husband’s cravings.

We have since discovered that, at Talya’s shop, the sandwiches and double-dipped chocolate cannoli are to die for! Yum! Her homemade potato salad with eggs reminds my husband of his Mom’s.

I highly recommend the Dirty Italian to cater your next function as well as visiting their store for...

Not only do they have limited 'open' hours (not open late enough for evening/dinner orders), but they also close earlier than their listed hours of operation. Very unprofessional to see and experience. They started the process of closing at least 30 mins early. In the 10 minutes I was there, all of which were well before the listed closing time, I wasn't able to order what I wanted because they'd already packed their food away and turned off/cleaned their sandwich meat machine, they flipped their "open" sign to "closed" well before their listed closing time which led to two people who were attempting to come in for food being denied, and then they were vacuuming around my feet as I waited for the food that l was able to order. As a customer, people expect you to be fully open until your hours of operation end. Was only there for 10 mins and they let down three customers in that short amount of time. Overall, the food didn’t live up to expectations either. Agree with some other reviews that the bread leaves something...

Exciting to witness a new addition to the neighborhood! My experience with the Dirty Italian sandwich, however, left much to be desired. The bread was satisfactory, but the cold cuts were only average in quality – moist and salty, but lacking in meat flavor. Regrettably, my sandwich lacked soppressata and capicola, containing only ham and mortadella, which likely contributed to the lack of an exciting taste. I also wish I had opted for hot peppers to add some spice and tanginess for a better flavor profile. The sandwich cost $16 after taxes, and hot peppers were an additional charge. If you're looking for the best Italian sandwich in the area, I highly recommend trying American Provisions. Their Italian sandwich includes everything that this one was missing and comes at a much more affordable price of $13. PS. I want to mention that your delivery truck consistently blocks one of the lanes every morning, leading to traffic congestion. This is not very considerate to the neighborhood.

We recently stopped by The Dirty Italian on Old Colony Ave to grab a couple of sandwiches for a picnic on The Common, and we were thoroughly impressed! Ambiance: The place is super cute inside, with a cozy and inviting atmosphere. They also have outdoor seating. Menu: They offer a wide variety of Italian staples you’d expect at a deli, including: * Sandwiches * Antipasto * Lasagna * Pastas * Cheese counter (Looked like they had an excellent selection) * Charcuterie menu * Snacks & ice cream What We Ordered: * Talya's Dirty Italian: High-quality cold cuts, but the sandwich was a bit dry (I think they missed the EVOO and vinegar). * The Godmother:An absolute must-try! I recommend adding their “Make it Dirty” hots. Tip: When ordering online the large (which is only $2 more than the regular) is about twice the size as the regular and is big enough for two. Overall: The Dirty Italian is a must-visit! We can't wait to go back and try more, especially the charcuterie menu.

We got four sandwiches before the beach last weekend on opening Sunday. Upon walking in, we were welcomed with so many smiling faces behind the counter. The team seems to already be highly organized and trained, which I know isn’t always the case when new places open. I opted for the godmother sandwich (make it dirty) and Omg it was amazing! The bread is so good, the ingredients in the sandwich were perfect, and I am a big bread/meat ratio gal and this was spot on. I love the hot mix that they have, so much better than everything else I’ve ever tried when it comes to hots. Friends tried the Dirty Italian sandwich and were also very impressed. I’m excited to try the other prepared foods in the case. There is so much to choose from and seems to be something different each day (I have seen on Instagram.) Congratulations to the dirty Italian family for this great gem of a place.
