We were in town in Boston to celebrate my boyfriend’s cousins 21st. We chose Park city out of all the other places in Boston for our night out and it was a mistake. Prices were outrageous but also expected for Boston, and with no cover, can be excused. When we got there, we patiently waited 30 minutes to get a drink and when we got up, the male bartender with dark hair in a man bun immediately gave us attitude. We asked for 4 shots to celebrate the birthday and he rolled his eyes and yelled no shots. We said okay, understandable, and then asked for 4 beers and 2 drinks for our group. We were immediately given attitude again, and he snapped back saying 2 drinks per person. We then pointed to everyone in our group, saying there was 6 of us. My friend went to grab the beers and he physically hit her hand away, looking her dead in the eyes, condescendingly saying “I haven’t even opened them yet.” My boyfriend stepped up and mentioned that it was our friend and family members 21st and that we are all just trying to have a good time. The bartender then leaned into my boyfriends face and said “what did you just say to me?”. Overall a terrible experience with terrible service and felt like a slap in the face with the wait times for drinks. This place also isnt cheap, which is fine, but when you’re spending over $100 on beers and mixed drinks, the least you’d expect is good service. Atmosphere was great, but I would never recommend this place to someone. So many other options and a...
Read moreFun place! We took our friends and young kids and snagged an open cabana which made the experience that much better. The service was great (they even brought over a big tub of sidewalk chalk for the kids which they loved!), cocktails and food were solid and we all had a genuinely excellent time but there were a few things that knocked my experience down to 3 stars:
Portopotties are unforgivable! This isn’t a music festival or a farm in the middle of nowhere. I expect flushing toilets when I go out to eat and drink in the city. Plus there are a bunch of portopotties by the cabanas so after a while it vaguely started to smell poopy.
fix the beer menu - nothing on tap and all the cans were pretty basic.
very lacking in shade - the place is set up really fun but they could add some more shade in some areas especially on hot sunny days
All in all we had a great time. I would definitely go again (and bring headphones for the kids because the music was really loud) but it’s a cool idea and a fun environment. Add flushing toilets and improve the beer menu and I think you’ve got an even...
Read moreIf you've been to Tall Ship or Cisco, the concept should feel familiar. Open layout with seating scattered around; picnic tables, Adirondack chairs, you can even sit on some fake turf in one section. Yard games; cornhole, ring toss, oversized jenga. Drink/food stands are located around the perimeter. The food here is both overpriced (check the menu before coming) and oversalted (to make you drink more), but that is par for the course at a place like this. The location of Park City is its largest drawback. If I'm at Tall Ship or Cisco and I don't want to eat the poor food on site, I can walk 3 minutes and get something in Maverick Square or the Seaport, respectively. At Park City, it's more like being on an island - there's nothing surrounding it but railroad tracks, warehouses, and construction equipment dealers. For a place called Park City, it fails at capturing the ambiance or either a park or a city. By the way, that fake turf mentioned earlier - many dog owners use it as a pee pad for their pets, 5 minutes before a parent lets their baby crawl...
