I have nothing bad to say about this place. Samosa Supreme is a restaurant with a rather big sign that you can see from the road... just as you're passing it. if you miss the turn, it takes some effort to turn around. Once you're in the parking lot, though, you'll see it's in an old building, but don't let that deter you. The menu is there in a big font as you step inside, and you can take your pick! They have chicken, turkey, beef, lentil, vegetable and a few dessert samosas to choose from. I decided to get a box of 4 chicken (mild & spicy) ones and a small side of jollof rice for my family. I learned that ALL orders are made fresh, so it would be a 15-20 minute wait.
While waiting, I watched some TV on the screen that they have, listened to their music, and read about their promotion: Bowie State University and Bowie High School students get 10% discounts as long as they provide their student IDs. Aren't they lucky?? The 15 minutes zoomed by, and before I knew it my food was ready. I asked if there was a way to differentiate between the mild and spicy ones, and while she was already kind, it was then that the woman who took my order realized that I was a first timer and happily welcomed me. I thanked her and was on my way.
When I got home and showed the family what I got, they were ecstatic. They had thought I went to a new Indian restaurant until they saw the rice. We all never knew that any African places made samosas. After some quick research on their website, we learned that while Indians are the most famous for their samosas, Kenyans adopted samosas and put their own spin on it as well. Those are the kinds that we had.
Umm... the food was absolutely delicious. The samosas were flaky, crispy, flavorful, and quite fresh. The limes provided just enhanced it and made it even better. The jollof rice was just love. It was spicy, but not really salty... still managed to pack much flavor. Will I be returning to this place? Absolutely. Too bad it's only open...

Read moreI am so very disappointed, my niece had been telling me of how delicious the samosa supreme food is; as her place of business orders from them at least twice a week. So today she decided that she would place an order so that I could taste them, because I make something very similar. Well unfortunately, I did not and will not have the opportunity to taste the samosa, they were sold out of beef and chicken(mild) so they said to make up for not having what she ordered they offered her the shrimp samosa. Then stated that it would be 3.00 more she then mentioned that she didn't ask for shrimp it was offered, the person that I was on the phone with said they were new, that person then gave the phone to the manager. The manager was less than gracious and really surprised my niece, because she orders from there so much and advertises for them and by the way if I liked them that would have meant even more business. The manager went back and forth over a 3.00 difference on a large order and even had the nerve to say "I can just cancel your whole order" This isn't about the money it is about the customer service or should I say the lack there of. Really?? So yes she said okay cancel it. Wow, I have been in management many years and I must say that this manager was wrong, they should have taken the 3.00 hit for this order. Then coached the new person that answered the phone to next time let customer know there isn't anymore of what they ordered, but for an upcharge they could get etc.. I will not patronize a place of business that doesn't know how to pick their battles, argues with customers for an error made by them. On top of everything you are not a hugh restaurant chain that has the luxury of turning good customers away, because she did let the manager know that her place of business orders from them all the time. I apologize for this lengthy review. Is this the way you plan to continue to run your establishment, if so I can see many more 1...
