City Egg — Restaurant in Bowling Green

I went there with my dad and son on Thanksgiving morning. We were the only people there there was only 1 employee not sure if that's ĥow they are usually staffed or not but 1st of all I hate ordering on those tablets because u can't explain what u want and it's difficult when u want something added. My dad wanted gravy on his scrambler once we were able to get the guy's attention since we couldn't find that option he told him just to put cheese and he would remember he wanted gravy. Then my son and I ordered, well the guy ended up putting gravy on mine so I didn't get what I ordered cause I gave it to my dad and I took his plus my dad and I both ordered our eggs over easy and it was over hard, the food tasted pretty good for what it was it just not what I ordered so I probably will not pick that place...

They have a good method of ordering via their digital kiosks, though the experience is rather unfamiliar- a case of a better streamlined experienced being foreign at first. It's a good system though.

What's less good is their actual food. I ordered the southwestern omelette with a mocha for about $15, and the food was plain. I don't know how you make a southwestern omelette plain and flavorless, but it was. The coffee wasn't bad, but that's not really good enough in a town with several very good coffee spots, especially since most of them were in walking distance. The hash browns were similarly forgettable. Hash browns were similarly bland.

It's a clean restaurant in a great location, but meh food is meh food. It's not really worth a visit for its price, especially since there are better...

I usually love City Egg—their omelets are delicious, and the location is just a few blocks from my apartment. However, today was a busy Sunday morning, and unfortunately, a lot of mistakes were made in the rush. I ordered an avocado omelet with a couple of modifications, specifically without bell peppers and salsa due to my allergy, and added onions and mushrooms. Unfortunately, my order was completely wrong—I received an omelet with extra peppers, no onions or mushrooms, and barely any avocado, which was disappointing since they usually include plenty.
