Got food to go from here first time today. Staff was very nice and helpful. Also loved the place inside felt very inviting and calm. I got the chicken wrap with cucumber added, another grilled spicy chicken wrap, humus, pita bread and extra garlic sauce on side. Personally I give my grilled chicken sandwich 7.5 out of 10, very soild. Chicken was a tad dry but still very good, problem I had was with the pita wrap around my sandwich, was pretty dry and brittle hence why it was 7.5 out of 10. My boyfriend has spicy chicken wrap and gave it probably same 7.5 out of 10 for same reasons I had with my sandwich and also because he did think it was spicy enough but yet again he is a spicy holic lol. But overall we did enjoy our wraps. Humus I give 8 out of 10, was very delicious and fresh tasing but I felt it was missing something to add a tad more flavor but very good! Pita bread I give a 6 out of 10 due to fact it was pretty dry and I like it to be softer and fluffy. Garlic sauce I give a 8.5 out of 10! Had excellent flavor and not too garlicy but felt like it was missing a little something and I also was expecting that strong kick of garlic on your tasetbuds but it was in my opinion a little mild so I was wanting more of that garlic punch flavor lol. But overall I give this place 8 out of 10 and will definitely order...
Read moreThere is another Mediterranean restaurant in BG, but I haven't eaten there so let's talk about a place I have ate at many times... Kabob-It.
I love Gyros (pernounced ye-row), I mean really looove them. Kabob it makes really good ones too. On Wednesdays they have Wild Wednesdays. Gyros are half off. They have lamb and chicken to choose from.
Now let's get one thing straight from the get-go. A Gyro, a real Gyro is made with lamb... period! The chicken version is a western inspired concoction. Sharing the term Gyro to make those who want to have the Gyro experience but not eat a real Gyro and makes them feel included is okay, I guess...
The also have a chicken schwarma, (think Avengers 1, post credit scene) which is cool and pretty good too. Yes, I know Gyros are greek but schwarma is Lebonese so.....
Kabob-It is a really great place to get really good food. They make their own tadziki sauce, and while they charge .50 for extra, it's a good amount, 4 oz, but it's so delicious and so worth it. I get extra just to eat it by itself. It's that good.
Sorry this review is long but let's just say that if you try Kabob-It,...
