3.8 stars Updated review. Popped in for a milkshake. Not very good, and any toppings are minced into little tiny bits to go with the unreal ice cream. But it was super thick so there's that. 1st review Cookout is cheap eats that will fill you up. Crafting your own combo with choices from the board can be overwhelming. Chili wasn't very good but in general how do you mess up fried food so everything else was good. Hotdogs and corn dogs are my favorite but chicken sandwiches and hamburgers galore. The milkshake options go on forever and one of the few places serving Cheerwine. PS your cholesterol count says don't eat here everyday.

First experience was great. I've only ever been through drive thru. After some time I've noticed laziness in the food. For example only giving a single slice of lettuce on a sandwich. Half the time when I ask for bacon they forget it. The cheerwine float is always a go to but the last time I got it it was all drink and no ice cream. I'd rather them tell me they're out or low than giving me something half done. Update: gave them a second chance annnnnd I asked for a side order of hush puppies and it was rang up as water. Good job.

Great deal for the money $7.99 for a main entree then two sides and a drink. My son-in-law had the Cajun chicken sandwich and my daughter had the chicken quesadillas. I had the spicy chicken sandwich - which as you see is super thin thus my 4-star for food. The Cajun fries are great - crunchy even though they’re the crinkle cut fries. The cheerwine YUMMY!!! I’d go back / just won’t order a chicken sandwich again.

  • BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE BY KIDS* Dined at the restaurant several times with no problem. The visit to the location last night resulted in a very bad experience. It was Friday and the end of a long stressful day and week for my wife and I so we decided to dine at Cookout. 15 minutes after placing order no food was received. Checked with kids behind the counter regarding status of the order. Without actually walking back to the kitchen, the reply to the inquiry was "your order is in progress and will be out soon". While waiting for our order several employees (kids) were observed standing around talking, obviously not about work due to the laughter. Four times I checked on the status of our order. Four times the same reply was received, none of which included an effort on the part of the kid to actually walk back to the kitchen and check with anyone to obtain a verified status. After 30 minutes of watching 10 orders fulfilled for other customers, my wife and I decided to request a refund and go elsewhere. When the request for a refund was made the same kids had an appearance of unbelief on her face that someone would be upset. This time she actually went to the kitchen and returned with news that the ticket for our order was lost and the kitchen staff was rushing to take care of it. Be that time we simply wanted to go elsewhere. To receive a refund took three request and an additional 10 minutes while the kids were taking care of other customers that were placing orders and actually receiving a meal. Obviously the kids were unable to attend franchise training class on the day that Customer Service was the subject. Maybe the kids are WKU students that think they will have a high paying job after graduation. They should be aware that Customer Service is an important subject regardless of the avocation or profession. Thankfully there are ample choices throughout the area with employees that provide good customer service. Don't think we will visit this...

Usually the food is great and cooked. A few times I experienced where the cajun grilled chicken sandwich I order is not even cooked all the way but rather tastes almost like plastic and the only cooked part is the thin layer around it. I let that go and didn't say anything, but today is something altogether different. I got what I usually get as always which is the grilled chicken Cajun. Well to my surprise when I bit into the sandwich I noticed the taste was off and had a smell to it aside from not even it being Cajun but a regular grilled chicken.. the chicken breast was expired. Im already feeling nauces because of the 1 bite I took and spit out. I am disappointed. Not only is there occasional problems with food, but on my few trips there I have also experienced some horrible customer service with the driver through workers. One of them has attitude like crazy. I didn't care for the most part because even though sometimes the wait time can be long, it's still fairly fast and it's a quite lunch to take back to work when you are in a hurry.

As a suggestion if I may, please teach your employees proper customer service. We all have bad days, but that shouldn't reflect on the customer who is there ordering food. Be as it may, I have had a few really nice customer service experience here too. But, unfortunetly the bad ones seem to be outweighing the good ones.

Now I have to go throw up because I have gone past nauceous to full on sick.

Please make sure the food y'all serve is...

Excellent food, great prices, the sides are odd and when they say a quesadilla is a side, they do mean it...smallish with very little filling but what they have in it is tasty. The regular burger is enough for one reasonable person as well as the pulled pork. Pork comes with slaw on it. Slaw is mild and more like adding crunchy chopped cabbage to it. What i don't understand is the BBQ part of the sandwich and the only reason one star deduction. It is very tasty pork by itself but came with NO BBQ IN OR ON IT. When i went up to ask for BBQ, cashier apparently thought I was asking for more meat because she had me bring my sandwich up and ahe told me that's what comes with it. We had a serious miscommunication going on...she went and conferred with manager and brings out a sandwich wrapped and in bag and said here's one with more...and I'm like you're wasting food just to give me more BBQ? I trade and I still had no bbq.. I'm laughing thinking about. I finally get some generic BBQ and it's a reallly good sandwich but now o have too much pork! Also be advised, it was a little spicy. Don't know if they added spice because they thought I was complaining or if it really is spicy...but overall great food and prices. Some of the staff a little dense or overworked and actually from beginning they weren't very friendly even when they knew it was our...
