For the record, I'm brand new to BG and do not know the owners or employees as stated in a different review. I just so happened to be on my way to another pizza joint but drove by here and chose to try it out. I'm pleasantly surprised by this place.
Pros: Gosh where do I even start? They have fresh pasta! That they literally make there! I'm not a small town girl but this was a first for me. They have pecorino cheese! Who knows where else I would ever find that here in BG?? No longer do I have to sub this ingredient because it's not available near me. They sell a lot of other cool ingredients... Special olives, real deal olive oil, truffle salami, etc. I could have bought a lot more in that section. They sell pizza by the slice and it was good. I really enjoyed the special pizza of the day which was chicken and mushroom. Holy cannoli! Lol the pistachio version was tasty. Everyone there was super friendly.
Cons: Pizza by the slice was a little pricy but the prices of other items seemed fair.
Overall, I can't wait to go back. I need the pecorino cheese, olives, real olive oils, and...
Read moreThis place is the best! You can really tell everything is fresh and made with love. We've traveled to Bowling Green a few times this year and I've been wanting to try Danny's and now I'm kicking myself that we didn't go the very first time! We shared a slice of the prosciutto pizza and also got the orecchiette merguez. It was actually too much to eat which is impressive for the price. The pasta sauce had a nice little kick to it without being too spicy, and the pizza was light and chewy but the bottom was buttery and crisp... just all around really exceptional. I wish we'd gotten a slice of the tiramisu, but we did buy a slice of the regular focaccia which did not survive the night. We're definitely going to be stopping here every time we're out this...
Read moreI really wanted to like this place because I heard good things about it, but the food was not good. 4 different people with 4 different pasta bowls and all of them tasted bland with no seasoning. Mine had no sauce and barely any cheese, so all I had was so much spice that it made my stomach hurt (and I love spicy food). Also, they said they were busy and out of focaccia breadsticks. You think they would sub something else or lower the price, but nope, just didn't provide it and only told us because someone asked where it was. Maybe this was all just because they were busy, but I don't know how my experience could be so far from the norm. Definitely was disappointed with spending my money for...
