Meads of Midgard — Restaurant in Bowling Green

We walked in, awkwardly waited at the counter while they had 4-5 staff talk amongst themselves and no one greeting us. Drinks were decent but a bottle I ended up picking up was definitely way overpriced for the other options out there with way more variety (Dansk Mjod), but I wanted to show some support. I would suggest playing literally any form of music even quietly in the background and to have all the staff educated on the basics. I was poured a drink and then asked for the money immediately..I think? Anyway, they ended up forgetting to charge me for half my items so I left a tip to make up for it. Hopefully...

I really wanted to like this place because one of my friends recommended it to me since their family is one of the owners. Unfortunately, my experience with my friends was far from what I was expecting. No one acknowledged us, I waited about 10 minutes before I went and asked what was available. Personally, it was not my favorite, lacked some flavor, and it felt a bit overpriced for the bottle. There was no music and an awkward atmosphere. This place has the best staff! Very friendly and knowledgeable, always helpful. They have a selection of meads and non alcohol options. Plenty of space to socialize and play board games, with board games in house that have been donated. People are friendly and always open to others joining in a game. A fine successor to the...
