Kroger Pharmacy — Local services in Bowling Green

I avoid this store as much as I can, I've finally been driven to write a review. If you need something from both the liquor store and the grocery store be prepared to wait in line twice, once at the liquor store and a second time at the grocery checkout. While at that grocery checkout, I'd suggest you NOT try to be environmentally friendly at either the self-check or standard check out lanes. At the self-check the machines freeze when you put your own reusable bags on them (I've used multiple, this is consistent across all machines), and it takes quite some time to get the attendant to look away from their co-worker or phone and look at the customer. I have also used reusable bags at the standard check out lanes and can tell that the cashiers find the request to be incredibly annoying.

I avoid the produce all together. Most of the produce has been frozen somewhere along the way - cucumbers, onions, potatoes and more have a weird squishy feeling to them that fresh produce should not have. I have gone through a pile of moldy shallots multiple times (and received rotten shallots in a Click List purchase) and have seen moldy lemons as well.

The store is set up in a way to try to trick customers into purchasing unnecessary items, not to effectively help the flow of customers. As such, you're running in to other customers and their carts and children constantly due to the over-filled and extended end caps and merchandise stands. Additionally, they push their store-brand items so much, I'm beginning to notice that other name brand items are getting harder and harder to find.

Two stars as they usually have most of the items I need.

I would give a negative review if I could. They neglected to call me for 12 hours following my daughter's prescription being called in by her provider. I waited and waited for a text to say it was ready and finally went in. Then I get there and they tell me it's gonna be 30 to 45 minutes. Then I walk around with my sick 2 month old daughter for 35 minutes before receiving a text message from the pharmacy stating that her prescription won't be ready until the next day. Then I wait in a long a** line to ask them about the text message after I had already been walking around for 35 minutes and waiting for the prescription that they said would be ready in 30 to 45 minutes. I finally get to the front desk and the lady tells me her prescription just came in the morning of UPS and that they won't be able to fill it until tomorrow evening, mind you this is my 2 month old daughter's breathing treatments. So they actually expected my 2 month old daughter to wait 3 days before getting her breathing treatments. The medication was there in boxes and instead of rushing it and getting it out of the boxes they told me all well maybe you should just go somewhere else. They were very rude inconsiderate and absolutely lacked any compassion toward my 2 month old baby. The pharmacist needs fired. It was ridiculous and could have been life threatening for a...

They said they called my prescriber and it got denied by the prescriber on Friday at 5:16pm. I tried to get this filled on Tuesday the previous week. Called the doctor on Monday (today) and they had received no phone call whatsoever from the pharmacy and said they would get the script into them. I go in to pick up the prescription and they tell me it’ll be ready in 20 mins. I then get a phone call saying they dont have a SINGLE pill of the medication I needed filled even though I have called them ALL DAY and told them exactly what prescription I needed. NOT ONCE was it mentioned that they had none in stock. So now I have gone 10 hours without my beta blocker for my heart because of their incompetence. A beta blocker that I have been filling with them for over a freaking decade! But they dont have a single pill of that drug in stock. Laughable. Dont ever use this incompetent pharmacy they don't give a damn about their patients and they have dome absolutely nothing to rectify this.
