Novel Blends — Restaurant in Bowling Green

I passed this spot by chance, completely unaware that there's yet another cafe in Bowling Green, OH. I'm sure it's no help that Google has them listed merely as a bookstore whereas they are indeed both a cafe and bookstore. The space is very clean and well kept, and most importantly, the coffee is wonderful. While they have specialty drinks, our general go-to order is a simple latte with nothing added. It's in a latte you can tell whether the coffee has been roasted well or not, and Novel Blends uses some superbly well-roasted beans. My husband and I had given the ever-popular Grounds about four or five chances, and while their community space is attractive, the latte tastes like little more than hot milk (even with double shots of espresso!). Fantastic coffee in a chill ambiance for a decent price! With a list of Seasonal Special Lattes, a diverse coffee menu and delicious snacks from a local Baker, we found it easy to spend an afternoon chatting and sipping in this spot meant for vibes and conversation. It is not intended for a business destination if you're looking to get work done, but take a look at the great selection of books or bring some materials and enjoy the space created to enjoy your Barista-Prepared drink in peace. So I am picky with my espresso and lattes.. so when I say Nobel Blends has some AMAZING tasting espresso and latte flavors I mean it. I’ve tried so many local coffee places and this one makes it near the top of my list. I got a simple iced caramel latte with almond milk and the caramel flavor was perfect and didn’t taste cheap like some other cafes. The cafe itself was beautiful and charming and felt exactly as a cafe should. I met one of the owners today and she was so sweet, kind, helpful, and made the cafe feel so welcoming and personable.
