WOW, great food, home made ingredients amazing tastes, large portions & fair prices!!! Just happened to find this place due to weather & traffic so bad, took some back roads and ended up in Bowling Green, VA. Call out for the Steak & Cheese egg rolls!!! Picture shows 2 but order came with 4, we tried as an experiment but they were so good, wolfed them too quick before photo. Not greasy, great flavor, 4 of them alone is a meal for 2. The Onion Rings, were the old fashioned individual style, not frozen, nor greasy just light & crispy, order came with 20 or more rings, not just 4 or 5 like some places!!! BRUSHETTA anyone?? Probably the BEST I've ever had!!! 11 out of 10!! Just the perfect combo of veggies, seasoning & some sweet balsamic vinegar. Bread was crispy not over toasted or break your teeth hard, nor over soaked with oil. Order came with a full plate about 15 pieces. Every bite crispy & full of flavor!!! We ordered the Katie's Burger, 1/4 lb of beef with another 1/4 lb of pulled pork. Very taste, not smothered in sauce nor oily, a good bite of smoke flavor as you chewed the beef with the pork! Very Tasty!! Came with french cut fries. They came to table unsalted, for me I like that so I can determine the best amount to add. Others may disagree and say a bit tasteless w/o the salt. There was a big pile and again not greasy at all. Maybe they air fry? We also ordered Veal Parmegian!!! Spaghetti came with a meatless sauce, very good, a little sweet (the way I like), not acidic nor oily. Veal was a large piece, lightly breaded and near 3/8' thick. Very good flavors & seasoning in breading & sauces. Order came with a full 12" of garlic bread, again perfectly toasted & seasoned! Veal = Very good! We're big eaters and could not finish either dish (a rarity) and we enjoyed our meal so much... we took orders to go!!! Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes,, 2 very large over 1/2" thick & dense, well seasoned crab meat with Rosemary Potatoes, & seasoned veggies... We loved this dish, FANTASTIC!!! A bit pricey but when you see how much crab meat you get it's worth i!! Last was a Steak & Cheese Sub. A lot of thinly sliced meat/ peppers & onions on a foot long sub with fries. WILL RETURN AGAIN TO TRY OTHER DISHES!! Keep up the great quality food with great friendly services. Thank you Isabella,...
Read moreWant to pay taxes on your taxes (which are calculated at the incorrect rate) for bland food and preferential service if you're a group of Bowling Greens 3 most eligible bachelors, but not if you're a couple just wanting to get a quick bite to eat? Cool, then Roma's is for you.
Arrived at 6:30. Order taken at 6;37. Meal served at 7:13 (all of the meal, all at once). Meal too bland to finish./Couldn't get waitresses attention so we could leave. Finally got checked out at 7:50.
If you want good Italian food and decent service don't go to Roma's.
When our food finally arrived it wasn't worth the wait. The salad was a good sized bowl of iceberg lettuce, 1 tomato slice and three red onion slices. The eggplant was soggy. The pasta had been sitting until it was luke warm. The garlic knots were greasy AF. One was burnt/dry. The marinara was as bland as sauce can be. It wasn't sweet. It wasn't savory. It was just...a dumped out, warmed up can of Hunt's Seasoned Tomato Sauce.
Not only were we ignored after the 3 MEBs arrived, we were given the wrong check. When we did get the correct check, and after we had already gotten home, we noticed the tax rate was very wrong (it's been reported to the state).
The overall cleanliness is... missing -- a fresh coat of paint would be nice. Sweeping the floors would be helpful. Even a dusting would be decent. The 'ambiance' brick-face is falling apart. The Dollar Tree artwork is really uncoordinated and unnecessary.
Ladies Room: The bathroom doors are pretty much ripped off the hinges. The soap dispenser does not dispense very much soap. It's just...ewah.
The Roma Steak special was decent enough to order again. However we have decided we're never going back to Roma's or dining in Bowling Green, Virginia again. Check out the "meals tax". They also tax your taxes.
Insane. Not worth your time.
I should note the waitress was very sweet and peppy. She just was not very focused on ALL of her customers.
Yes, they were...
Read moreThe pizza was not too bad, too many onions, but I was appalled when I found out how much it was costing me! They did not tell me after I placed the order, so I waited for the total when they brought the pizza here! Low and below I was flabbergasted to find it was going to cost $60+! For two lousy pizzas! Had I known before hand I would not have agreed to that! I’m in Bowling Green Rehab & Health Center, I have very limited funds, I was thing around $8-$10 for each pizza, witch is the competitive price!! I am shocked they would charge that much for a pizza with everything! I am not a happy camper! And I will tell everyone about this, that you took advantage of a resident in a nursing home!!! I want to add additional information! I’m a military brat, my dad was a WWII vet, served in the Navy for 33 years, he was aboard one of the ships that liberated Italy, and was chosen to meet the Pope! I’m very proud of my dad! My first husband was also a vet, serving his tour of duty in Vietnam! He came back with PTSD, and could be violent at times....he eventually committed suicide! You know all about military service and proud of anyone who serves! It’s great you cater to the troops at AP Hill! I’m in Bowling Green Rehab and can no longer walk, I just wanted some uzza, since our food here is pretty lousy! Someone phoned an order in for me for a delivery! But was told they don’t deliver! Finally they agreed to deliver my pizza order, when I got it, I also got the bill! Outrageous amount! My bill was just over $60! Flash back to yesterday, my sister visited and brought me a pizza, for which I was great full! What did they pay at Pizza Hut? $22 for two pizzas! So why did I pay that large amount just for two pizzas? I have very little money so I try to conserve what I have! You should give the total on the phone, that would have eliminated this whole situation! I simply would have...
