Mario's Pizza — Restaurant in Boyertown

The food here is amazing! We shared a cheesesteak and each had a pizza slice. The cheesesteak was the best either of us had ever eaten and we have enjoyed them for many years at all of the best c.s. restaurants in and near Philly. What struck us first was that the meat was moist and carefully seasoned. Also, the roll was perfect; soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside. The pizza slices were also delicious, perfect in every way. The atmosphere in the restaurant is friendly and cozy. The owner and his assistant were very helpful, as this was our first time there. The restaurant itself reminds me of pizza places from 30 or 40 years ago, but the food tastes a lot better now! We hope to return to Mario's but it is almost an hour from our home. We moved to Berks county 3 1/2 years ago and I’m so upset we just discovered this gem of a place! We have been looking for great pizza (and frankly, any good restaurants) since we moved here from Bucks with no luck. And finally, we have found THE pizza. It’s everything you want in a great pizza from the thin, crispy crust to the sauce to the generous delish toppings. Hi Joe! We moved to the area 19 years ago and Mario's pizza was the first meal on the floor of the empty new house. And we still love the pizza. Try the sausage sandwiches and humongous cheese steaks. Seriously crazy big sandwiches and pizza that barely fits in the box. And the generosity and friendliness of the owner is beyond compare.
