I have been coming to New Garden for years and never had any issues with the service or the food. Everything my family and I ordered was always really fresh and good... that was until my last recent visit. I ordered the Vegetable Chow Mein and when I got it home, I was disgusted at what I saw. First, there were no noodles in it, and second, it looked like white snot! I thought maybe they inadvertently placed the wrong dish in my bag. I returned to explain I possibly received someone else's order and the young man behind the counter (extremely rude) opened the bag and said... no, this is the Chow Mein. I asked where the noodles in the dish were and he replied, this dish doesn't have noodles. I thought he was kidding, so I laughed and said yes, Chow main does have stir fried noodles. He proceeded to tell me that they prepare Chow main English style (apparently no noodle) and what I was referring to is a Chinese dish (mind you I was in chinese restaurant). I was in utter shock that I was even having this discussion with this young man in a CHINESE restaurant. He asked me if I wanted something else and I replied, I would, but I don't feel I should have to pay for it. He proceeded to the kitchen and had a full on screaming match with a lady and then came out and said, sorry, nothing we can do. Not only did I receive what I consider to be the wrong food, but the blatant lies to defend what they tried to give me was absolutely unbelievable. Needless to say, we won't be returning to this restaurant ever again. What a true shame! My understanding is the children have taken over the restaurant and this is how they have decided...
Read moreThey do not know there own menu. 2 nd time trying to order. What you read on the menu is not what you will get. Also refuses to refund mistake claiming she repeated the order back saying what she did not say. She argued loudly as i am waiting for her to refund the wrong. She is not someone you can speak with to resolve any issues. I finally asked her if I was waiting for nothing or if we were going to resolve the issue. Never again. Spend your money somewhere else. She will say it is your mistake not hers. I do not like to argue still paid full price waited for another dishes while wrong food sits. Or I thought I was as she told me she would, I told her I need it timely matter. Never start fixing it left me standing. Yelled at more I am forced to go back home with food . 2 trips wasted time, money. no working out she only yelled at me more I thought she was fixing was not she keeps telling me to listen to her but all you can do is go silent. Her fight is so aggressive it her pushing you out the door so the do not need to fix order or refund mistake. Worst experience in the food industry I have ever experienced. ..When I back with the rise noodle side no one wanted to eat it as her response was so bad the thought was the kitchen spit...
Read moreMy husband and I order from here all the time and are always happy. We even say it's the best chineese food we have had in Bradenton...however tonight I am more then dissatisfied. I called and ordered food for delivery and an hour later, it was delivered and wrong. When I called back, the man who originally took my order was rude to me and telling me he repeated himself 3 times... which he did, however he repeated what I asked for, not what they gave us. He then told me he would "swap" it out but it would be a long time b4 they could come back out. 25 minutes later a different delivery guy showed up and sat at the door for a good 3 minutes accusing my husband of us eating some of the wrong food, which we did not. We opened it, saw it was wrong, and closed it. It was stapled and I don't have a stapler to restaple it so mayb thats why... i have never heard of a place taking the food back after it was opened... what r they going to do with it?
