We have been dining at outback on Cortez Rd for many years, since the pandemic we have been doing what a lot of people have been doing and that is takeout and delivery. At first everything was going well then little things started being missed. Order five meals the sides are half as much as we used to get. The steaks have more fat than meat, over cooked. We have been told by management that for every two meals they provide one loaf of bread, explain how five meals only gets one loaf of bread? The last time we ordered they forgot a whole meal in the delivery bag. The restaurant noticed it was still there, called us and asked us to come and pick it up. We finally got a "manager" to bring it. The food quality at this restaurant has very quickly gone from very good to worse than the place with the golden arches.
Well here we are a week later.... to update this review as asked by Outback a message was sent to the address provided and to my astonishment (not really) no response has been received. With the service and quality of the food they use for take out and delivery orders they won't be around much longer. We spent over $200.. for the meals we received. We had to take three of the four steaks we received and trim them down of all the fat that was on them to be able to give our son six ounces of actual meat. Which leads to my wife and I either eat all the fat trimmings for dinner ( that did not happen) or cook food from the pantry which was the whole reason we ordered the food from Outback so that night we didn't need to cook. I am certain that if we were seated in the restaurant that night we would not have been given such substandard food.
Different update being added and previous update removed. Doug finally fulfilled so far one of his promises to me. The undisclosed amount of coupons he stated he would send on December 18 have finally arrived. I am sure someone from corporate office sent them so no need to bad mouth him as to the fact it took two weeks for them to be mailed. Doug deserve a sincere apology for the previous update and for that I will state " I am sorry"!!!! So many people these days do not follow up on their promises we as a society tend to expect people to be at their worst. Doug you are a man of principles and an honorable man again I am sorry. For anyone from corporate offices from Outback Doug should be commemorated for the passion that he has to make his particular restaurant in your chain stand out from the others. There are three Outbacks within driving distance from my home, we have tried them all and always found the one on Cortez Rd treated us as valud guests not just...
Read moreCame here to at with friends and I love outback but this location was not a good exsp it started with me asking server for prime rib he tried talking me out of it saying it was dry and sitting all day and it was done medium and I probably wouldn’t like it I asked him if I could try a small piece to see if it was in fact dry he said I’ll ask my manager but if everyone asked for a piece there would not be any prime rib.. he proceeded to do drink orders and i order a lavender lemonade non alcoholic because I am in recovery and have 3 years sober he brings me my drink and I took a sip drinking alcohol I got no apology I spoke with manager on duty and she argued with me stating it’s an alcoholic beverage. And I understand that but every location I go to they will make it with out alcohol and I specifically asked for no alcohol the server laughed when I said I was in recovery. They did nothing to make it right I will never eat at this location again I have been going to outback for years! The server didn’t even ID anyone you would think if someone was serving alcohol they would ID customer. The manager should not be a manager she was a girl with short hair and the server was male I was there at 8:30 with reservations under Brittany on 11/19/2021 I will be...
Read moreWe were a party of 24 and and 23 showed up at 4:30 on a Mon 10/28/24. I showed up at 5:15. We had 2 servers one was Jacob and at our table was Geo. Geo was a good guy, he took good care of us and had a great personality. My wife order me a burger and fries ahead if time. I had just enough time to order a Kangaroo rush. The drink was alright but a little weak on the alcohol. My hamburger was cooked as requested and had pretty good flavor. The pickles were homemade and were really good. My only complaint were the fries. They were under cooked and pretty greasy. What sets the stage for a great burger is great fries and Outback did not come through. Again we were a party of 24. So I give some forgiveness for the cooks. My wife's Queensland chicken and shrimp pasta was just good. She said it was light on the Alfredo sauce. Over all she was OK with it. I really didn't ask anyone else about their food and I forgot to take pictures. My bad. I had to work the crowd of 23 people and make them have a good time. Let me reiterate that Geo was a great server. The question is will I go back? I have mixed thoughts on that, one is I wouldn't go back with 23 people but I might like to try it with my wife and I someday. Especially if I kibd find a discount...
